Looks like the eagle went after and grabbed the rabbit. Fox just didn't want to let go of it.

Well, the choice of a national bird came down to the Bald Eagle or the Wild Turkey.

This is why the bunnies in my area come out at dusk and spend the night under my bird feeder gathering seeds.

That fox and rabbit getting snatched up reminds me of the trick that was used to snatch men up without landing the plane
had an uncle who was involved in that during the Korean War.... He didn’t look like much and didn’t talk much but when he retired he sure had a lot of high up well wishers.

Reminds me of the bird feeder which also serves as a cat feeder.

I recently saw an eagle in our area (suburb of Seattle) grab a cat. Man, that cat was putting up a fight. It was a large cat and it looked like the eagle was actually having problems getting airborne because of the weight. He managed to get the cat across the street, where I had stopped my car, and into the large yard. It was weird to watch.
Anyway, I had told my hubby about it and then, about a week later, we get an email from our homeowners association and in there is a request from a woman who lives in the association, asking if anyone had seen her cat. There was a link, and when I hit it the picture of her cat, the color of it, just triggered my brain and it went right to the eagle vs cat that I had witnessed. I thought about it and decided that I did not want to be the person to tell this woman that an eagle ate her cat.
