An upstate couple got so fed up with their unemployed 30-year-old sons refusal to leave the nest that they finally sued to evict him and won.
Mark and Christina Rotondo were forced to the extreme-parenting measure after giving their layabout millennial boy Michael cash for moving expenses, pleading with him to get on with his life and finally sending written legal notices demanding he grow up and move out.
Michael, After a discussion with your Mother, we have decided that you must leave this house immediately, reads the first letter, dated Feb. 2.
It concludes: You have 14 days to vacate. . . We will take whatever actions are necessary to enforce this decision.
They later offered him $1,100 to find a place to stay and gave him parental advice including, organize the things you need for work and to manage an apartment and sell the other things you have that have any significant value.
Asked if he thought mom and dad were merely trying some tough love, Michael sounded like a child whod just been punished.
I dont think trying to destroy somebody is tough love, he griped...

Reality show potential.
But it was interfering with his World Of Warcraft time.
I'm guessing he runs a successful couch potato business.
He should get a job with the dem party. They like losers who live by parasiting others.
I sat on a jury once for a woman who sued people and businesses for fun and profit.
After we heard the facts of the current case, amazingly, all the other cases of her suing people - including her two children - were also allowed in as evidence.
We ruled against her and had her pay all legal fees for BOTH lawyers.
Oy! These people! ;)
Did she try to sue you and the rest of the jury after the trial?
This screams "I SELL POT!"
Sounds like something from the Babylon Bee.
I know of two similar cases where the kids (in their 40’s) are just plain worthless. Too worthless to figure out how to get on some government welfare system. They leach off their parents for everything including food, rent, health care, pot, booze, dental - you name it.
One case a guy is retired and so far in debt over this he will be in debt until he dies. The other case the parents did go broke and now the kids just hate them.
I can’t see how a parent can find themselves in such a pathetic situation.
I have a niece in this category. My sister actually went out and bought her $1500 worth of pot plants so she could get her business going. Also bought her a vehicle so she could deliver. Of course, this is California.
If I read correctly his case just got a ruling in the state Supreme Court, yet he says he’s going to appeal. Chutzpah.
With adult protective services now involved, he needs to quit while he’s got a head.
You know how you look at something, and even though you can't see everything...everything seems...revealed?
Pretty sure there is a man-bun there.
Well...the rule of thumb is:
This kid is going to end up in north east Pennsylvania..
... I just know it. Him and the rest of his NY idiot ilk.
ABC reports the judge was “state Supreme Court judge Greenwood” but the Post says it was the county SC. Either way, the manchild’s got a nerve.
We saw him on tv this morning, and he didn’t even bother to put his long hair into a neat bun for court ;-)
There was also something strange about his body language; he couldn’t seem to stand straight, without leaning on things.
But I didn’t hear anything about his argument - why he thought his parents owed him free everything forever.

A Haiku ~
there was a loser
who had very few options
he sold pot a lot...
I can. It comes from bad parenting and starts once the child starts to walk and talk. Instead of being a Parent these people try to be the kid's friend.
They don't want conflict or the kid to be angry at them so they give them everything it wants. By the time that kid is 8-10 years old his value system is set. Unless an MAJOR shake up takes place.
I told mine at the earliest age, my job is not to be your friend. It's to raise you to be a respectable, self reliant Adult that can and will be a productive member of Society.
