This thread is a friendly collaborative place for FReepers to analyze information and share opinion. FReepers have a wide variety of reasons for investigating Q Anon content; this is not the appropriate place to criticize or badger those who choose to use some of their time in this manner.

Are we talking about birds now? I saw a redtailed hawk perch on one of my hop poles and then took off and grabbed a baby bagsterbird out of the nest in the tree. Just then a white horned owl screeched and the hawk dropped the babybagster bird on the ground. Next to a waiting blacksnake. The blacksnake ate the bagsterbird and then was picked up by the redtailed hawk. True story happened at about 3pm today.

In Christian art and symbolism, the owl has various contradictory meanings – Satan/sinners or Christ – depending on how one looks at owls.

From Signs & Symbols in Christian Art by George Ferguson (Oxford University Press, 1961):

"The owl, since it hides in darkness and fears the light, has come to symbolize Satan, the Prince of Darkness. As Satan deceives humanity, so the owl is said to trick other birds, causing them to fall into the snares set by hunters.

"The owl also symbolizes solitude and, in this sense, appears in scenes of hermits at prayer. It[s] most ancient gift, however, is that of wisdom, and, with this meaning, it is sometimes shown with St. Jerome.

“In another sense, the owl is an attribute of Christ, who sacrificed Himself to save mankind, ‘To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death. . .’ (Luke 1:79). This explains the presence of the owl in scenes of the Crucifixion.”

Yes bingo. Used to go several times a month. Haven’t been there in about 3 years. Instants! Yes, I remember them. One time a lady beside me spent hundreds of dollars on them but never playing bingo. (But she had to purchase a bingo packet in order to get into the hall). Thought that was a little strange. I only bought them if I won at bingo (used their $ instead of my own). Once I retired couldn’t afford to go anymore:(

Owls are spectacular. Saw a short show on a guy that builds owl boxes for barn owls. Why? Barn owl habitat being torn down. Old wood barns getting trashed. Methinks that’s a super cool way to employ my table saw and air nailer when I get older than hell. Already old.
