It is a new Unified Command, not a division. The head of it is a Army General and it is a Joint command meaning all services (usually) are represented. The USAF guys under his command could wear those uniforms subject to regs and uniform of the day policy.

My dad was army air corp. There was no Air Force. Are we going back to that? A reorganization ? What would be the benefit ? Navy has their pilots its part of their big picture there Why not have the the flyers back in the army.

In the movie, the code he was working on, ‘Heartbeat’ (X-keywhatev) that he smuggled out in the Rubic’s cube is likely the algo he’s refined while in Russia and Q’s been trying to get him to deploy in whitehat mode. If it links, field-for-field, all the social sites plus aggregators, it WILL pause the net with the record/key chaining.
