Stupid headline.
Could as easily said:
Pamela woke up that morning. A long life of deception and sin lead to the resulting arrest.

And in this day and age, I hesitate to call anyone below 70 elderly! I dont know! We are granted "three score & ten", i.e. 70 years.
Half of 70 is 35.
Once you hit 35, you are "middle aged"!

I am approaching the AARP mark. Which I’ve always thought is “too young”, but I guess they just want to grease the skids.

baloney...elderly means elderly...and 66 is not elderly when people routinely live well into their 80's....
if you're calling a 66 yro elderly then what do you call an 86 yro?....the super elderly?...

Do they know for sure that she was only charge for five ears of corn?
Often, the grocery stores advertise five for $2, but if you don't buy five they still charge you 40 cents per ear. She could have really paid $2.40 without realizing that the checkout clerk actually counted the ears.

I always wonder WHY they call the police over stuff like this.
I got in an argument with my ex once and he made me so mad that I started picking up glasses off the bar and throwing them at him. Ran him out the front door. Lol. No one called the police.
We owned the bar and it was after closing. No one there but employees.

I guess they just want to grease the skids. AARP is mainly a liberal Democrat lobbying group. The larger their membership numbers, then more clout they have with Congress. The more membership dues they collect the more 'clout' they have with individual, influential congressmen.

Pamela blamed the clerk....
Her claim hasn't got a kernel of truth.

Could have been worse. 42,000 Ephraimites were killed over an ear of corn.
See Judges 12.6.

Who cleaned up the mess?

Elderly (66+) and senior (55-65) are legal definitions, with no basis in how you actually are.
