[history]
A 66-year-old Florida woman went to jail on a charge of misdemeanor battery domestic violence after a wine-and-tomato throwing argument with her husband.
The argument started over a Publix ear of corn.
According to the arrest report, Vero Beach's Pamela and Kenneth Woodman each told an Indian River County sheriff' deputy that Thursday's kerfuffle started during dinner on the patio of their Polo Grounds Lane home. As conversation turned to the price of vegetables, Pamela said she bagged six ears of corn instead of five at Publix, knowing she'd only be charged the $2 rate for five.

Pamela blamed the clerk for not counting the corn. She said Kenneth called her a thief and a liar. Sounds like a Democrat / Republican marriage gone bad.

Sounds like Pamela got what she deserved, but not enough of it.
A public caning would be appropriate.

She’s not a senior; she’s 66 so she’s an elderly.
Senior = 55-65
Elderly = 66 and over
It might not be much, but hitting a senior person is a misdemeanor and hitting an elderly person is a felony.

Actually, it kinda does.
And don’t think this whole thing started at the ear of corn. Sounds like someone was none too happy in the first place. More of a volcanic eruption. And at her age, at can’t be blamed on the “monthly cycle”.
I use to be married to a person like this. And as is usually the case, she constantly blamed me on being abusive. That was 20 years ago, so I can look back on it now with a chuckle. It wasn’t funny then.
But it’s nice to see the cops here seemed to be “sex blind” in their interpretation of what was going on.

SHE hit someone. How old is her husband?
And in this day and age, I hesitate to call anyone below 70 elderly! I don’t know!

This slight-of-corn struck Kenneth as thievery. He told Pamela she was wrong. Pamela blamed the clerk for not counting the corn. She said Kenneth called her a thief and a liar.I agree with Kenneth because in the line above it says she bagged 6 knowing that they'd only charge for 5.

He said "fruits and vegetables." She said it was a tomato. Well...a tomato is a fruit, botanically speaking. Agriculturally speaking a tomato is a vegetable. So, I guess Kenneth is technically right.
