A minor glitch, I’m sure..................
I have a registry hack that I run on all my new/reimaged W10 computers that disables that annoyance Cortana.
BTW: I don’t have a single W10 computer that has not had to be reset to factory after a little less than a year b/c things stop working: speakers, cameras, USB, Office programs, you name it.
I wish the B O/S had taken hold. I need Windows b/c it is the primary platform for the software I support and what I know well. But it has always been crap and W10 was crap on crap.
These MS Updates are basically out of control. Yesterday, I had to take my computer down to Best Buy Geek Squad to get a setting fixed to reconnect to the internet because of this update. More than once, I’ve had to have the Geek Squad reset my computer to a date before the MS update to avoid its effects.
Microsoft’s (imagined) response: “That’s not a bug, it’s a feature. Have you tried Microsoft Edge yet? Well, please do. We insist...”
Such BS. The last Windows update shut down my wireless mouse and keyboard for WEEKS.
This is probably going to be a "Bi+ch Thread" about Windows 10 update issues.
We clearly acknowledge that a lot of Win10 users are happy as clams at high tide, don't experience problems with the updates, and can't fathom why many others are manifestly displeased.
Glad you're happy!
Months ago I bought a used Apple desk top and Laptop. Best decision I ever made. I will never go back to microsoft.
I bought a Win10 tablet/laptop a few weeks ago to sort of get familiar with Win10. I still use a Win7 PC and Laptop most of the time.
On the tablet, whenever I move the cursor, the program closes to the taskbar. I am not sure if that is due to some setting or an errant ‘feature’ of Win10. It is annoying — and is much of the stuff with Win10.

I also have a Linux Mint laptop and it occasionally has problems with its upgrades. A few weeks ago, it got to where it took over a minute to connect to the internet. Apparently, that was an update ‘feature’ that a more recent update fixed. Now, the connection is almost instantaneous.
Linux has problems, too.

I dread the day my Win7 PC and laptop bite the dust.
Windows 10 is banned from a number of companies I know due t their spying on confidential information.
Cortana is just a furthering of that spying.
It listens to everything said and transmits it to Microsoft.
As it is, filenames are transmitted to Microsoft in Windows 10.
Did you test it?
Relax!!!
I have this update done a week ago.
No problems for me, Chrome and Cortana working fine.
For those who have never worked with MS, they are not friendly about taking suggestions from Intel or Google.
We tried to get them to use our versions for free and they can keep the code which were already working in the lab.
We got blown off and sometime, three years later they showed up in a product.
Did exactly the same thing but three years late.
“The company suggests trying the Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B to wake the screen”
Remember when people complained that you had to jump thru hoops to get Linux to work right? #RollReversal
I’m so glad Win 7... I won’t bore you with the rest. Y’all know the song frontwards and backwards.
