Hahaha! He was pretty horrible.
LOL. And then they’ll say they will never watch another Star Wars movie and go to see Episode 9 on opening night.
"There's always another one." (OSLT)
Rose is the new Jar Jar of the franchise.
>>I wanted to yell out That cant be! The Force Awakens!<<
LOL — right place, right time, right line! :)
>>That pretty much sounds like Hayden Christensen’s acting in episodes 2 and 3.<<
SW pretty much ended his career outside of SW flashbacks. It exposed what a terrible actor he is.
Most actors who are typecast at least can find something in live theater. Not so Anawhine Setchewer.
He will be rich but won’t do much acting.
You could throw a Star Wars title on a Flip Wilson show episode and people would pay to see it. Disney will be charging $1,000 a day for a Star Wars adventure at their parks. They’ll sell out, I’m sure.
Lousy actor chosen for the role, doesn't look like a young Harrison Ford, doesn't sound like Harrison Ford, doesn't act/mannerisms like Harrison Ford.
SJW, PC, anti-white male Kathleen Kennedy and Disney the rat have singlehandedly killed the Star Wars franchise.
LOL. I think many people would even pay for a Jar Jar Binks Musical.
Don’t give them any ideas.
I don't think there was enough story to warrant more than the three original films from the (Original) Original Trilogy. However, I have to give Disney kudos for continuing to make money off it by resurrecting the "franchise".
I don’t even know who Rose is. Was she in one of the first 2 Disney movies? If she was, then that is a problem when the characters are so wooden, unsympathetic, frigid, interchangeable and unmemorable that you don’t remember any of their names or faces right after you watched the movie.
After the 1st viewing of the original Star Wars, Luke, Leia, Han and Vader were seared into the synapses of my brain along with R2 and C3P0. Just branded onto my adolescent brain.
I look back now and there was a black guy who seemed to be constantly depressed. There was some girl you looked like the bad guy in the first Matrix movie who was supposed to be a bad ass, but for the life of me I could not understand how or why.
I will take it from you that “Rose” is the new most annoying character, but for the life of me I don’t know who that is. I would Google it, but I really don’t want to know anybody in the Disney Star Wars movies since it will be a cold day and hell before I watch another — not even for free on TV. Just abominable movies.
The Ewoks were horrible for most adults, but the children really loved them, so I just put my tongue in my cheek and lived with it. I felt that the Speeder scene through the forest made up for the Ewoks. Kind of offsetting.
Honestly, I thought The Force Awakens was a terrible movie, especially when it basically rehashed A New Hope in the most uncreative manner (for goodness sakes, Return to the Sea of The Little Mermaid franchise had more creativity in it than The Force Awakens did), and while The Last Jedi was slightly better in that it at least didn’t rehash Empire Strikes Back, I’m not sure from what I gathered whether it’s even that good of a movie, having severe pacing problems and pretty much being more political than even the Prequel Trilogy.
In fact, of the Disney Star Wars materials released since their sale from George Lucas, the only ones that I would call even slightly decent is Rogue One and that SCAR story arc from Marvel Comics. That’s it. No, Rebels was NOT a good Star Wars entry, largely because the Rebels came across as mary sues and made the Empire look so incompetent it’s a wonder how they could even last as long as they did.
And from the looks of the trailers, I’m afraid I’m not going to be too fond of this upcoming movie. Shame, really, because, Rebel or not, Solo was a pretty well-handled character (too bad Lucas decided to basically change it to have Greedo “shoot first” and then lie about it).
Though... isn’t Deadpool technically also being released by Disney right now (since Disney apparently bought the rights to FOX or something)?
Rose was in the last Star Wars movie The Last Jedi. You haven’t missed anything if you haven’t seen it.
No, I haven’t missed a thing. Awful movies.
I’ll watch it. At first, I wasn’t too big on it, but the more I see and read about it, the less I feel that way. Had a very bad feeling about it ... no so much anymore.
