In Heaven,
The Brits administrate.
the French cook,
the Germans do the engineering,
and the Italians are the lovers. (and maybe share cooking duty with the French...)

In Hell
The Brits cook,
the French do the engineering,
the Italians do the administration,
and the Germans are the lovers.

The engineers at Pontiac are still trying to decide.

I have owned 3 Pintos. I found them reliable, inexpensive, and capable of driving through all kinds of terrain and weather conditions (”It thinks it’s a jeep!”). The Pinto station wagons held an amazing amount of cargo. The main negative was that they WERE light weight, so any damage from an accident was severe, and they wore out after about 100,000 miles (actually par for the course at the time; todays subcompacts last much longer). It is remarkable that one was still running after all these years. What is it, 30 years since they were made?

The VW Thing is no uglier than a Jeep, and no one ever calls them ugly.

VW Thing? That should be in a different list of coolest cars ever made. I want one!

I agree. I saw one the other day - went a block out of my way to give it a good once-over. Needed some work but it was cool.

I'm not sure how the Ford Pinto was rated the ugliest car ever. It's not a beauty queen but it is not that bad. Almost every car on that list is uglier than the supposed #1. IMO, the Pontiac Aztec should retire the cup when it comes to ugliness.

Neat trivia fact: The “Smart” actually refers to “Swatch Mercedes ART”. Yes, Swatch, the watch company actually partnered with Mercedes to produce the tiny car.

I don’t think it makes much sense in the United States but probably isn’t bad in Europe where roadways tend to be much narrower.

Walter White’s sage Pontiac Aztek in Breaking Bad was fairly high in the ugly factor.

How about Jesse's oxidized Tercel?

I owned a Green Hornet. Not lime green though and I do remember AMC’s lime green.

In Hell,
the liberals cook (vegan),
the liberals do the engineering (with science class taught “inclusive”-ly),
the liberals do the administration (bureaucracy),
and the liberals are the lovers (don’t ask).

#4 - Aston Martin Lagonda

I think this is one awesome looking ride - I wish I could have afforded one back in 1980.

Did anybody ever decide what kind of ‘car’ an Aztek actually was?........................

It was the same as my Pontiac Montanna. Regular doors instead of sliding doors. And an ugly front and rear end.

It was just a bland minivan made to look bizarre.

Oh, my. Well, there are ads on the radio occasionally that you can donate cars to charity. That's probably your best bet for getting a few dollars of tax deduction from it. They'll even tow it off if needed.

Back in the day, when I worked for CalTrans, we had both Pintos and Matadors as pool cars. They drove as good as they looked......

I owned a Pacer, too. Very comfortable station wagon; lots of room inside. But it had a very fragile power steering, which required you to replace the entire front end when something went wrong.

Don’t forget the fine art of pedal pumping, and downshifting without synchronizers. My 73 cj5 keeps me in practice.
