Turner, a Democratic lobbyist from Tenafly, has resigned as a commissioner from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, after an investigation was opened into what agency officials would only describe as "profoundly disturbing conduct." Turner's resignation allegedly involved her intervention in a recent traffic stop in connection with her daughter. Turner apparently flashed her Port Authority badge in an effort to intercede with police officers on the scene.

Flashing her commissioner’s gold badge and boasting of her influence during a routine traffic stop involving her daughter, Caren Z. Turner demanded to know why police had pulled the car over and why it was being impounded.
Then she launched into a tirade at the two officers.
All of it was captured on camera.
Tenafly Police released a video Tuesday revealing just why Turner abruptly resigned last week as a commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
The video and a police incident report, both made public after requests by NJ Advance Media and other news organizations, showed Turner apparently seeking to leverage her influence, talking about who she knew, and complaining that the police had “ruined” a holiday weekend with the stop of her daughter and three friends on rural Route 9W in Bergen County.

D, it wasn’t her daughter driving, not her daughter’s car. Why daughter called mommy wasn’t clearly established, possibly for a ride...or to intimidate the state troopers. Mommy was clearly PO’ed at being thus inconvenienced, however. Don’t they know who she is??

New Jersey is the home of “don’t you know who I am?”-types. You’ll see these cars with massive bronze plaques bolted to rear bumpers showing the rest of us and law enforcement that they’ve paid up at the PBA.

That was what I thought, poor cops couldn’t get a word in edgewise. She brought back some bad memories of a bad ex, that’s for sure.
I would bet there is an entire office full of people who have been mistreated every day that woman breaths air, and wastes space in a building. They are all going, Yesssssss.
And I’m sure any friend of this guy doesn’t have to pay any tolls up there either.
What is a Port Authority Commissioner paid?
If she wanted to know why the car was stopped all she had to do was ask the driver, but she insisted that the cop tell her. What a pushy witch. Glad she is no longer in office.
