California's Summer Gas Is Approaching $4.00/gal

As California's Summer Gas Is Approaching $4.00/gal what can we expect from President Trump and changes to onerous EPA regulations? Part of gasoline’s price increase is largely seasonal, as refiners tend to process less crude oil into fuel during maintenance and are starting to transition to summer-grade gasoline, which is more expensive to make. According to analysts prices will likely climb further as the weather warms and driving picks up. We need to get gas prices under control in order to MAGA.

Jim Robinson and a lot of other Freepers I know live in Cali. Is there any possible way to ask for help from the federal government to defend that state from foreign invasion? I mean someway to invoke a state of emergency and make it official? Isn’t there a clause that when a state is under attack by a foreign entity or even under attack the feds take that state over? I’m just asking because then that would give the fed government the right to arrest the politicians in Cali for treason.

Remember when Obama said gas prices going up was a good thing? Let’s see how the Democrats take it this this time.

And then we can all ride our unicorns.

We’ll be lucky to get the Gas Tax Repeal on the Nov ballot.

You said it. The real issue here is us refinery numbers and capacities. As well as forced ethanol usage in certain areas.

Yup, just paid $3.89 a gallon at the Chevron station on the way to the VA last Monday. That is for premium for the Volvo V-50 with the T-5.

That’s largely because of two things. A) California’s special blends that always drive up prices and B) all the taxes Calufornia imposes on gasoline.

Five years ago when I left the state for good gas was running right at $4.50 a gallon

By the time I got to the north woods I was paying right at $2.00

Simple question....

How much of that $4.00 per gallon is state taxes?

We all know that there is federal tax on motor fuel of $0.184 per gallon

State taxes account for the difference. We’re paying $2.699 in western NY. Another $1.00 per gallon in Commifornia?

We in California have ridden this mini-roller coaster many times before. The prices will rapidly inflate after July 4th, peaking and plateauing in the Dog Days of summer, being their highest on Labor Day.

The prices will slowly come down, but in different places from coast to coast, so that the trend is no conclusive. In our states of ‘excitement’ during the Halloween season, many will have began discovering lower gas prices. By November 6th, day of the Mid Term elections, the trend in downward gas prices will ‘suddenly’ become indisputable! Strangely, this last part, of lowering gas prices across the country, will not receive very much commentary from the media.

I want some of that $2.00 gal gas. I have a small business and have one truck. I’m now paying $80 to $90 dollars a day for fuel. OUCH!!
I’m now searching for JUNK yard gas. Price of oil is running around $64 dollars a barrel and you get roughly 20 gal of car gas per barrel. Q. Where is that cheap oil?

Remember a few years ago when the VA House passed the bill raising the sales tax and promising a cut in state gas taxes? We never did see the gas prices drop even a penny.

If it aint ARCO, it’s higher and a rip-off.

I'm guessing you don't care about your engine using ARCO gas.

EPA??

Calif has their own environmental gestapo, known as CARB. I think they are the cause of the crappy gas in Calif and the high cost.

Not that the EPA does not approve of course.

2.28 in East Texas.

Just paid $3.59 in California. On my 15 gallon tank, I paid $19.65 more to fill my tank than you would have at your prices.
