The governor of Oregon says she'll resist any attempt by Donald Trump to deploy her state's National Guard detachment to protect America's southern border, and California's governor appears poised to follow suit.
The president signed a proclamation on Wednesday that orders Defense Secretary James Mattis to 'request use of National Guard personnel to assist' with the Homeland Security Department's existing border patrol operations.

If the President were truly, The Man, he would respond to her message, publicly. Something like:
@katebrown, since you have no plans to assist your fellow American's in this time of need, I've decided to federalize Oregon's National Guard units. However, the personnel won't be used to repel this invasion. They will be used to transport the 1000+ Hondurans and any other illegal immigrants that are caught, to the most affluent locations in the state, where they will be dropped off in the middle of town. Just like the previous administration did with all the unaccompanied minors and others. That way, they'll be in locations where people will have the financial means to assist in taking care of them and helping them get on their feet. Thank You and God Bless America!!!

Political posturing for the TV cameras. If POTUS activates the Guard, it puts them into a Title 10 status (Federal service). The governor only has authority over ARNG troops in Title 32 status (state service).
She’s legally hosed here, and there’s nothing she can do about it. Except this nonsense.
This would have nothing to do with the courts.
All it takes is a piece of paper and the NG becomes Federal.
Wallace was grandstanding and he knew the score. It was all for show.

I imagine the bulk of her political fans think Oregon shares a boundary with Mexico. And that their Tide Pods come from China and Trump’s tariffs will make these delicacies more expensive.
Glad to see she’s promoting STATES RIGHTS
