Piers Morgan used a series of tweets Monday to call for a ban on all semi-automatic guns and stress his conviction that “no civilian needs one.” His call for a ban on semi-automatic firearms was followed by other tweets in which he told Americans that the Second Amendment was never intended to protect an individual right to keep and bear arms. Rather, it was only intended to protect militias members’ ability to be armed.

The 1st Amendment certainly doesn't mention radio or television or film or media empires or media elites...so I assume that Puss Morgan would agree that they have no recourse to the Constitution.

Saw the funniest tweet yesterday, Kurt Shlichter taking Piers Morgan down. Gist of the tweet: “Piers, I’m a citizen; you’re a subject...”.

Anything the police need, civilians need also.
Well, that is pretty much true. In a typical year in the US, 2 or 3 times as many people will be stabbed to death as will be murdered with rifles. So, maybe knives aren't "weapons of mass destruction", but they are a lot deadlier than rifles. I'm not in favor of banning anything, but if you are gonna ban something, it would make more sense to start with knives rather than rifles.

Yup a point I've been making is that all double action revolvers are semi-auto.
The more they push the faster technology will advance into Star Trek type of phazers.

muzzle loaders, blunderbusses, ball and cap pistols are all any civi needs. Leave the real guns for the adults that guard the elite, the police and criminals (the real victims in all this).

The Revolutionary War was sparked by the British trying to seize the militia armories in Lexington and Concord. I am sure that at least some of his ancestors were in the British army at the time, so he comes from a long line of gun-grabbing Limeys.
Perhaps we ought not to take advice regarding our gun laws from any person from Britain, particularly when their advice consists of us disarming ourselves.
