Antler animal rights protest, Toronto, Canada. (Image via Twitter.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Animal rights activists were in for a grisly surprise over the weekend when protesters in front of a popular Toronto restaurant were treated to a live demonstration on how to properly butcher the hind quarter of a deer.
Chef Michael Hunter is co-owner of Antler, a restaurant that serves "local seasonal and wild foods" that are native to Canada, "such as bison, boar, rabbit, duck and deer." When vegan protesters returned to his restaurant for the fourth time in recent days with signs bearing messages like "animals are not ours to use," "killing and eating animals is horrifying" and "MURDER," Hunter decided to conduct a little protest of his own.

Now leopards are African [and Asian]... they are smaller and leaner than jaguars. Jaguars are built heavily, more like linebackers, leopards like kickers... and while they both have spots arranged in small circles over most of the body, unlike leopards, the clusters of spots on jaguars include a spot in the center of each cluster.
Jaguars like coastal areas because they hunt sea turtles and nutria as well as more conventional prey like deer and livestock....
Probably more than you want to know...
But it may come up soon if the border wall gets going as it would cut through habitat they once occupied as recently as the 1880s.

The PETA paradox.....animals all eat each other but it’s bad if we do it, not because we’re fundamentally different from them, but because we’re morally equivalent. But if we’re on an equal plane, wouldn’t that mean that we may do what the “other animals” do, and if we’re better at it, so be it? D’oh! Morons.

I wonder if a hungry lion would eat a vegan? I think it’s worth finding out.

Animal rights is simply about not seeing or having to think about how food gets from the pasture to your table. Or how Congress makes Laws...

I wonder if a hungry lion would eat a vegan? I think its worth finding out. It can be arranged!
Now... what was that recent novel I read where an animal Rights group kidnap a couple of zoo lions for ransom and end up...
... eaten by the surviving lion.

My dyslexia is becoming worse with age. I was eager to read the story because I read the headline as: Chef Butchers Animal Rights Activists in Front of Deer. I can't stand the sight of blood, but I would Pay per View that one!
