President Donald Trump signed a $1.3 trillion spending measure Friday, averting a midnight government shutdown just hours after declaring he was considering a veto.
Trump said he was

> Cruz would not have done this
Unfortunately, Cruz would not have gotten elected president.
What? You’re shocked by this?
This porkzilla bill was written and voted for by the congress that YOU voted for.
President Trump isn’t the problem. CONGRESS is the problem.
This is a case of “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” as far as the President is concerned.
Half of you want him impeached if he does, and half of you want him impeached if he doesn’t.
Here you have all of the socialist-democrats, half of the republicans, and an ever squirming number of conservatives looking to impeach the President.
And this guy gave up a cushy retirement, and easy living to pull our sorry asses out of the frying pan.
Trump didn’t need this job. It was something he wanted to do to put America back on top. He’s put up with way more bullshit and abuse than most people could ever handle, and yet he still comes out on top.
If you want to point fingers and place blame, call your congressional reps and senators. Tell them to FOAD, and fire them.
Not much more PRESIDENT TRUMP could do. Vent your anger at MITCH MCCONNELL and PAUL RYAN. They are the culprits.
Despite the best efforts of the MSM, the Democrats, an independent prosecutor, the disloyalty of despicable RINOS, he was able to survive and even prosper. Alas he committed political suicide with his own signature. When the enormity of his stupidity dawns on him, he will realize he has lost forever critical support and no longer has a viable political base. This is what happens when conservatives overlook their own principles for political expediency. Trump is a flawed character that betrayed his wives even after they gave birth to hid child. His behavior should not be a surprise to any decent conservative.
HaaaaaaaHAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...THANKS FOR THE LAUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Donald the weak is now Donald the laughing stock. And I was a very early supporter.
“Trump is a Democrat now.”
Trump didnt vote for it, nor did he vote for the reps and senators that voted for it.
That is what WE did.
We dont control our civil servants, but then blame Trump.
“best thing to do is nothing....no more votes for trump or non conservatives”
The hell?
Oh yeah, the rejects from the GOP briefing room forums with a sign-up date of less than a year ago.
Except for Rand Paul there’s no one that would have vetoed this at this late hour. Trump needs to be shamed for signing it, sure, but it’s not like he had a choice. His hands were tied thanks to Ryan and McConnell. The answer here is to fire Ryan and McConnell.
The line-item veto no longer exists.
X 1,000
They need to feel some heat.

Bump in a big way, FactoryRat. Good post!
I think it’s easy to raise hell with Trump over this, but put yourself in his shoes. The Uniparty sends him this piece of crap about 12 hours before the government shuts down, and if he vetoes it, it’s not on the Senate and House, Democrats or Republicans, it’s 100% on Donald Trump! They screwed him over big time and there is no doubt it was on purpose. It’s time for him to yank them into the real world and give an old fashioned ass chewing. I’m not a Trump fanboy, but he was screwed by his own party on this one.
Cruz's father killed Kennedy, and if your Dad does something like that, anything is possible. Besides, he's a liar. And a space alien.
They don't let him veto legislation anymore? Given the courts we have, and the fact that the Republicans will not confirm new judges, you may be right. End result: utterly hopeless.
I think (I hope) this puts paid to the notion that Trump is some sort of orange demigod whom we should all be worshiping on our bended knees. No politician is that.
Totally agree, disgusting.
