The miniseries was better than the big movie.

Oh yes, the film was crap. The BBC tv series from the early 80s was better, in spite of the tiny budget.

I want an SEP machine. There are several problems I would like to make disappear because they are Somebody Else’s Problem.

Yes the SEP machine was a brilliant idea. The Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses were also an essential.

I love the original radio version.I had the opportunity to record all episodes when WBUR (PS Station) broadcast one each Saturday afternoon. I edited out the lead ins and excessive talking and have them still on CD and DVD.
I also was able to record the entire series after that and put them on DVD...Secondary Phase, Tertiary Phase, Quandary and Quintessential Phases
Of course they are all available streaming or downloadable on the 'net. But that wasn't an option in 1981.

I’d hope Milliway’s wouldn’t use MSG.

I wonder how much more we could have to read/listen to/watch if Adams hadn't died so young?
I visited Adam's grave in Highgate Cemetery a while ago. There's a pot of pens and pencils there, on the gravestone: you can take one and leave one. I did.

I thought Matthew listed Joseph’s genealogy. and Luke had Mary’s.

Does a Joseph genealogy make any sense? Did Joseph have any link to Jesus’ genetics. It was all about YHVH and Mary?
To: Da_Shrimp
You are quite right in saying that Joseph's genealogy would not be genetically related to Jesus. However, Joseph was his legal father; and by being of the House of Joseph, Jesus was legally of the House of David and legally heir to the throne.
Mary was related to David, too, but by a different line. Joseph was descended from David's son Solomon, while Mary was descended from a son called Nathan (not the famous prophet, but another one).
Anyway the two genealogies (from Matthew and Luke) are almost totally different, leading to the surmise that they are from Joseph's side and Mary's side, respectively. Certain details in the wording also suggest this. However, I don't know if anybody has ruled on this definitively or produced dispositive proof.
