eBay Banning AR-15-Related Gear and Images?
The Truth About Guns ^ | 03/08/18 | Dan Zimmerman

Posted on 03/08/2018 7:30:15 PM PST by Simon Green

Chris Bushnell is the owner of Cypress Collectibles and patchaddict.com and sent us the following:

I am the owner of an embroidered patch company right here in Austin. Today I got a call from eBay saying that I cannot sell our 2nd Amendment patches that have an image of an AR-15 on them. eBay told me on the phone that they will be removing all clothing items this week from eBay that have an AR-15 or any assault rifle on them. That includes my patches, plus hats, t-shirts, and more.

If you search eBay today for “AR15” you only get about 1,400 results. Yesterday it would have literally been tens of thousands. Hats, shirts, and our Austin-based company’s patches are all banned because the snowflakes can’t handle even seeing a PICTURE of a black rifle. eBay is banning the word AR-15 and “assault rifle. They say, “This includes references in the title, item specifics, description or image”

Sure enough typing “AR15” or “AR-15” into eBay’s search bar yields just over 1400 items. Searching for “assault rifle” returns over 23,000 items including M4 airsoft guns, toy AK’s and a t-shrit with the image of an AR printed on it.

TTAG has called eBay for comment but hasn’t yet received a response. The other-ing of guns and the people who own them continues apace.

eBay used to sell the AR-15 itself, along with a wide variety of firearms. You had to have a credit card or debit card on file in order to prove you were an adult before you could even view the firearms.....I think that’s what they required at the time.

The firearm(s) had to be picked up at your local federal firearm licensed dealer after a background check.

eBay banned the firearms themselves in 1999.

Then maybe these eBay sellers will find another outlet for their respective business enterprises to flourish.

Many do.

My point was is that the people who actually sell on ebay are not the ones pushing this policy.

Anger is fine, just be angry at the right people. Its not the ebay sellers.

No need for a Bumpfire stock. Amazingly fun! Accuracy is naturally compromised, though. Short handgun cartridges have the highest cyclic rate, since less bolt travel is needed.

Bumpfiring is 100% legal, and safe in a properly maintained modern sporting rifle. Some gun ranges do not like it, though, because they feel you don’t have adequate control of the firearm. I am sure that could well be the case of you bumpfired a cartridge anywhere from 7.62 NATO (.308 Winchester) on up.

eBay was once a great place to sell, that was 15 years ago. Now they suck, between eBay and the Post office its no longer as good as it was. Great if your stuff comes from Hong Kong, and China and you don’t have to wait for 6 weeks to get it. Then again what ever it is, is shoddy. There has to be a competitive site that allows everything and is not under the control of the PC Cabal.

All this krap is the result of letting the goose stepping media hammer away pursuing the agenda of perverting the 2nd amendment, guns, the NRA. When the opposition should have been driving home denouncing the failed policies causing this tragedy. Demanding an investigation of failed policies which allowed not only the purchase but those murders to occur. .

That's very true. The eBay management only reacts to mass message campaigns from the left, because too few of us send our opinions to them. It only takes a few minutes to send a respectable and respectful opinion to a company. If the company receives enough good, logical messages from us, they'll change their policy.

That's the way the markets work.

Tell them that we're close enough to our goals in the process of making our country free again, that they should get in sync with us. We're the real majority of customers, so we're always right. We're the majority in general.

We're their boss--not the other way around.

They won’t even let you buy a Daisy bb gun. Like that’s really deterred the usual psychos.

"People of the Gun will just have to go underground."

I don't know what "people of the gun" are, but we should start putting NRA decals and our state pro-Second-Amendment organization decals on our vehicles again.

It's time to stop being chickens. If you see someone tampering with someone else's vehicle, use that cellphone camera. Then tell the owner of the vehicle and offer the photo evidence to them. Or at least offer to be a witness and talk to the cops.

I know that it's not so feasible in the blue states (on the map behind this link), but it's time for those of us in the remaining American states in the middle of our country to start acting like Americans again.

“Well, They hit $2000 on the free market. I checked. “

I just looked at Rock River Arms. They have basic AR-15’s for about $850 at the moment.

Can they allow Pop-Tarts to be sold since they can be fashioned into the image of a gun?

I quit ebay years ago, got screwed about 50% of the time. One occasion I was billed twice through that fraud outfit PayPal.

I’ve had better luck with Amazon, never been billed twice because I can pay direct with a cc and usually get what’s advertised.
