Five years ago, when actor Michael Douglas candidly revealed that his throat cancer was linked to having oral sex, two things happened.
He made headlines that mortified his family. And he helped publicize the fact that a pervasive, sexually transmitted virus called HPV was unleashing an epidemic of oral cancer among men.
Since then, scientists have made headway in figuring out why HPV, the human papillomavirus, has this glaring gender bias. Men are four times more likely than women to be diagnosed with oral cancer, a hard-to-detect, hard-to-treat disease that has overtaken cervical cancer as the most common HPV-related malignancy in the United States.
To be sure, changes in sexual norms over the last few generations have played a role in this alarming trend. But research increasingly shows the real problem is something men have practically no control over: their immune response.

Thanks, One can be pro vaccination and still object to the push to have children vaccinated against HPV. I also object to the Hep B vaccine for adolescents. The assumption behind both of these is early sexual behavior.

My dentist is very diligent. A large part of the population carries one or more of the various HPV viruses. A large segment of them claim that they never had oral sex in any form. I find that interesting. Of course people lie about sex probably more than any other subject. Old but interesting article:

I just told my wife about this and she thought I was crazy to even ask the question, boy or girl because she says women carry HPV far more than men. She also had heard about this for years and thought I was crazy again for not knowing about it.
Yes. I get really fed up with the Leftist meme ‘they’re going to do it anyway’. I know of several young men, now in their early 30’s, who saved themselves for marriage. I think it usually is associated with religious beliefs. Not a bad thing for both young men and young women. I also was appalled when Sharon Stone said (I think it was on a late night show) that every home should just have a big box of condoms, in an out of the way place, so the teens in the home could take a condom and it wouldn’t be immediately noticed. Hollywood and other Leftists have not been good influences on the youth of America.

Like a lot of young men in the liberated 60s and 70s, I discovered early that many young women have difficulty achieving orgasm during intercourse.
However, close to 100% of young women achieve orgasm during oral sex, if it is done correctly.
I have thought frequently about getting the HPV vaccine since those viruses can live inside your body as long as you are alive.
I'm not sure if Medicare covers those shots or not. I do recall the shots were really expensive if you paid out of pocket.

Well, if you include all the humans who prefer to "mate" with members of the same sex as "gay", I can tell you that I've seen quite a few female gays that are pretty manly looking.
