Brazilian mathematicians considering humanity's chances of surviving a zombie uprising have calculated that to have any sort of shot, civilians would need help from a fairly large standing army. Their estimates led them to a surprising conclusion.
According to the researchers' standard model, which requires a minimum of 47 soldiers per 1,000 citizens for a country to survive if the dead were to rise, only North Korea, which has 47.4 military personnel per 1,000 residents, has any sort of chance of surviving a zombie outbreak.

Second, the apocalypse will have it's most devastating effects in the cities, so basically we get rid of all the liberals that don't believe in guns and let them eat each other. That solves a major problem, right there. And, then of course we have all the illegals and refugees in the cities, who don't have guns either, so that solves another problem.
Just have to set up a perimeter and not let anyone out, except the hot women, doctors, nurses, maybe a few dentists, and some engineers. Then we get to start over, with kind of a clean slate.
Good thing Zombies don’t exist. :)
Why don’t those Brazilian mathematicians come up with some calculations to help clean up the sewer that is Rio, instead of this breathtakingly immature zombie nonsense?
It all depends whether they are slow-moving zombies or fast-moving zombies.

In the movie “World War Z”, the North Koreans were, indeed, the only nation to survive. BUT, they did it by pulling the teeth of all of the 23 million population.
Seriously, though. You don’t need a standing army to shoot your ravaging neighbor or mother-in-law. American citizens are among the most heavily armed on the planet.
