“Also not authentic that there was anything “heroic” about Dunkirk. Had Hitler not been a complete moron, and let the Luftwaffe and Army fight over who would get the glory of the capture for 2 whole days, he would have captured 400,000 British/French troops.”

The fishermen were the heroes in my book.

I agree,and that’s how they were depicted in “Mrs. Miniver”. (Along with many yachtsmen.}

What a stark contrast between Oldman and McDormand. Truly shocking. Then that nitwit Kimmel gives the freak kudos.

Foley’s war shows the fishermen too as the heroes.

Best Picture: Shape of Water Hollywood is a joke.

No joke there.

That film, though stylish & well acted, was very PC & very perverse.

Well, his acceptance was so heartfelt and emotional. Best one really. I’d like to see that movie.

Love Sirius. I never watched the West Wing. Even though Martin Sheen was personally very nice to me once. Too full of lefty lies. Seriously, Janney did a great job portraying that evil mom.

Paper Moon is on free digital tv tonight.
When are they gonna colorize this thing already?

They won't. It was B&W on purpose.

If you have not seen it, you’ve missed the best male lead role in at least a generation, if not much longer.

I look forward to it. I don’t get out much except to kids’ movies! So yeah, I’ve seen Coco twice, so there. ;)

I loved it. Why do you say it was perverse? It's just a remake of Beauty and The Beast

I haven’t seen most of those movies. I just watched some of the beginning and the very end of the Academy Awards. In between we had dinner, and we watched the Billy Graham biography, which brought tears to my eyes. That was a great man — not those actors.

I thought Hitler went soft hoping the Brits would sue for favorable peace

Course if he’d killed their entire army it woulda sealed the deal

Will.
