MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – A video stirring anger on Facebook shows police in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina asking a homeless man to leave a McDonald’s after another patron bought him a meal Wednesday morning, according to WMBF.
Police also escorted the customer filming the incident, Yossi Gallo, from the restaurant. Gallo can be heard telling the officer that he met the man outside the restaurant and invited him in.
According to Myrtle Beach police, the officer was responding to a call made by a McDonald’s employee requesting a trespass warning for a panhandler in the restaurant parking lot.

Maybe he should have ordered the food for takeout. Don’t let your tears blind you too quickly.
While compassion would have seemed to be in order, if he had been trespassed out of there before for whatever reasons, businesses do reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for legitimate reasons .. or used to be able to.
Businesses get bad raps all the time, sometimes justifiably, sometimes, wellll... Good thing it wasn’t a Burger King or the King would have crowned him on his way out.
Lose millions? I don't think so, but they sure did screw up by not just letting the guy eat and giving him a little time before asking him to leave. I know that's how I ran my store. Maybe you haven't been in close proximity to a really dirty homeless person, not only is the odor foul and pervasive, it is also really hard to get rid of from the furniture. Now that's not really so much the homeless persons fault as just the result of the way they live.
Sometimes it's hard to accept, but the business is private property and is there to make money, which is hard to do when a foul odor drives people away. We weren't there so don't have the full story or the smell of it.
He had been trespassed previously from this MD’s. He knew he wasn’t supposed to be in there.

Good luck with trying to get people on the internet to contemplate that the homeless vagrant was breaking the law simply by being on the property after being banned from the property for dangerous behavior. The Law is dead. Logic and critical thinking are dead. Emotional knee-jerking rules the day. People, apparently, like being used and herded.
What I learned tonight is that the left wants me think that Cops who are protecting customers and defending a business are “stupid and evil.”

There may be a history with the person. Can’t take one instance and make a case.
If the individual has previously been trespassed he can’t legally enter the property whether he has money for a meal or not.
Truth is truth and in my experience anyone unable to recognize truth are experts in jibber-jabber.
And double so to someone whom is unable to answer a straight question.
Not the fault of the police. They were called there by the establishment to remove him, and that is what they did.
These “homeless” are mentally ill and need to be institutionalized. Sadly, murderers are institutionalized instead being euthanized, while mentally ill roam the streets and being public nuisance.

During the Obama Administration my business tanked so I became a night manager at a very large food store that also sold gasoline. While I was extremely strict regarding panhandlers some slipped through and generous travelers would walk in and give me $10 for gas for someone out at the pumps and as soon as the good Samaritan left the scammers would not pump any gas and come in to ask for their change.
I got sick of this so whenever it happened I would tell the good folk to use their credit card so if the scammers came in for a refund I would finish the sale and the money would go back on the card. That really made some of the crooks mad and I would laugh at them.
I had been previously speed so later in the day while going the speed limit the cops pull me over and give me a speeding ticket?
False analogy. Trespassing someone due to their previous behavior is not like driving down the road after previously getting a speeding ticket and a judge would laugh you out of court if you tried that . Some people steal, sell drugs, or harass paying customers at businesses and management has a right to trespass them, even if they may have a couple of bucks to spend at some time later. Historically those type of people never have money and the few bucks they may spend in the distant future would not make up for the loss in the regular customer base.
I was the night manager of a large food store for a few years and had to trespass quite a few people for doing many different things even if they were just making our paying customers uncomfortable. Sounds bad? Maybe, but if I didn't keep control I would have become run over with vagrants and would have lost the customers that kept the store running. Word spreads fast and it would take only a handful of days for word to get around that the store was not safe to be in and that would have spelled trouble. My store was so busy I kept five or six employees at night (11pm - 7am) and two more who came in at 3am for the start of Rush Hour. Having to cut back on employees would have not helped those young adults who needed to work to eat.

Although it sometimes back fires it’s still the right thing to do.
I had a friend who used to regularly help out an elderly homeless person who never pan handled and stayed to himself. It was the right thing to do.
I also had a neighbor ( and not a terribly bright person ) make a huge sandwich for a homeless guy who was always across from her apartment. Well, first and last time she did that. She walked over to him, gave it to him with a smile and he threw it right in her face.
He started screaming “ I don’t want this %$^* - gimme money!! “.
I laughed my head off after hearing about it. If you had met this rather strident, dingbat of a liberal you would too.
But the old saying ‘ there but for the grace of God go I ‘ is one to remember. One I should always keep in mind.

Easy for you to say. The homeless army is growing here in L.A. and I doubt you would eat beside a homeless dude who hasnt showered nor cleaned in weeks. When I go to any resto , even a crappy fastfood joint like MCD’s, i expect some cleanliness. If I want to see homeless people eat. I can easily go to Skid Row and do that...
They are growing everywhere. Mostly drugged people that can’t stay off the stuff. They are really getting to be a problem. They have camps everywhere and the leave their needles and human waste everywhere.
When the panhandler got the meal, the guy who paid for it left. As soon as the guy who paid for it left, the panhandler, who had been all “hale fellow, well met, I’m just down on my luck, this could happen to you, I really appreciate you feeding me” turned immediately nasty, claimed the food was no good, and demanded that the counter person take the meal back and give him a refund. He got it.
They do that to buy drugs or booze!
I suspect this situation is going on in the homes of welfare moms with kids. While the kids are going hungry without anything to eat, mom is throwing what welfare money she gets into her drug habit. Drug detectives say EBT cards are currency on the street and they are handed over to dealers in exchange for drugs.
