MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. A video stirring anger on Facebook shows police in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina asking a homeless man to leave a McDonalds after another patron bought him a meal Wednesday morning, according to WMBF.
Police also escorted the customer filming the incident, Yossi Gallo, from the restaurant. Gallo can be heard telling the officer that he met the man outside the restaurant and invited him in.
According to Myrtle Beach police, the officer was responding to a call made by a McDonalds employee requesting a trespass warning for a panhandler in the restaurant parking lot.

Previous bad behavior.
He had been previously trespassed.
The good Samaritan didn’t know this.
Just when you think, but nah ...... ten good cops get done in by one stupid cop.
I’m lovin’ it.
They should have let him take his sammich.
He was panhandling or something but this time he was a guest of another patron. Either way the manager should have thought this out because it’s backfired on the store. Twitter, facebook and other site are lit up with people really upset over this
I visited three cities in the last month that were literally over run with the homeless. The more you tolerate the more you get.
“They should have let him take his sammich.”
Yes and I’ll tell you why.
Like the article say he was panhandling. People don’t like to give to people who panhandle because they think the money just goes for booze or drugs. There are some however who say “if someone is really hungry I’ll take them in Mcdonalds and buy them a hamburger” and that is what this man did! So he know his money not going for drugs or booze.
It was a win win for everyone!!!
The manager got money for selling his food.... plus the man was not panhandling and the man buying? He did his good deed for the day, the homeless man got food. everyone wins!
you may thank Obama for that too
Shame on McDonald’s. Whatever the guy’s plight, this was a paid meal, he was a paid customer. Mindless police don’t help. Shame on them all.
I do this regularly.
I make sure the manager and I have a gentleman’s agreement that the homeless guy can take as much time as he wants, and drink as much coffee as he wants. Then I double or triple tip the waitresses.
Never a problem.
Maybe the settlement will get him on his feet
“It was a win win for everyone!!!”
Easy for you to say. The homeless army is growing here in L.A. and I doubt you would eat beside a homeless dude who hasnt showered nor cleaned in weeks. When I go to any resto , even a crappy fastfood joint like MCD’s, i expect some cleanliness. If I want to see homeless people eat. I can easily go to Skid Row and do that...
Nope.
In San Francisco several years ago I saw a panhandler chatting with a guy who was going to buy him a meal in line at McDonalds for about five minutes. It was a long line.
When the panhandler got the meal, the guy who paid for it left. As soon as the guy who paid for it left, the panhandler, who had been all “hale fellow, well met, I’m just down on my luck, this could happen to you, I really appreciate you feeding me” turned immediately nasty, claimed the food was no good, and demanded that the counter person take the meal back and give him a refund. He got it.
When a homeless person is after food give them some food. Money is another matter. If its food you know its not gonna be spent on drugs or booze. And I dont give a crap if they have been a nuisance, for the love of God its no reason to make them go hungry.
Previous bad behavior.
I had been previously speed so later in the day while going the speed limit the cops pull me over and give me a speeding ticket?
LOL
No matter how cynical I get, it’s never enough.
A good reason for them to go hungry is that feeding them is enabling them. It is hard to quit drinking and drugs. Really, really hard. An addict needs not one good reason to seek help, he needs every reason. Hungry is one of them.
You do gooders think meeting basic human needs like food and shelter helps. It doesn’t.
That’s how I am I don’t get money, but I will buy a meal.
He had been trespassed previously from this MD’s. He knew he wasn’t supposed to be in there.
