Yes, the same IG (a holdover Obama appointee) Sessions is relying on to handle all the wrongdoing in the FBI/DOJ .
My opinion ... Tempest in a teapot. I’m assuming it was lawfully subpoenaed for analysis. Makes sense to copy the drive sector by sector and keep one, send the other one back. I would have sent the original back and kept the copy.

If she gave her computer to the government for analysis, they may have installed a clean drive so that she would have no physical evidence that she had been illegally surveilled. A private computer expert told her that the surveillance software that was installed on her computer could only have come from one of three government entities.
Did she have the serial number of the hard drive recorded when DOJ took the computer and now it’s different? How does she know?
