On October 25, a strange craft was seen in broad daylight flying amid the heavy traffic of the United States air corridors above the state of Oregon.
Pilots radioed in reports of an aircraft flying outside registered flight plans. It was not responding to radio calls. It had no collision-avoidance transponders. But it was always just outside clear sight.
On the ground, air traffic control was also seeing strange things. Its radar was intermittently tracking an unregistered object moving at unusually high speeds.
It was cause for real concern.
After all, 9/11 showed the potential havoc aircraft flying dark could achieve.
So F-15 interceptor fighters from the U.S. Air Force were scrambled to take a look.
The story was first picked up by "The War Zone" blog of the automotive website The Drive. It tracked down comments from the pilots that had seen something strange that day. It also obtained confirmation of sorts from the U.S. air base that launched the fighters.
Now "War Zone" has obtained ─ through a freedom of information claim ─ a small mountain of documents and hours of audio recordings detailing Oregons air traffic controllers' actions.
Amid the accounts of phone calls, radio exchanges and pilot interviews is an enticing picture of what a substantive UFO report looks like, and how authorities struggle to make sense of what is going on above them.
THAT LOOKS CRAZY
The unidentified flying object was first detected tearing through the air above Northern California by radar stations in Oakland. It was 4:30 p.m. It was unexpected. It was traveling very fast at 37,000.

Thanks. I hope to get to it when I get up for good for the day.
Well stated.
Bigfoot is more likely than that anyone is visiting us from outer space.
The author of that saying, Carl Sagan, was a double agent.
He was a government paid debunker who knew that UFOs were real because he served on Government teams to discuss and study them. Nevertheless, you are welcome to suck his idol's toes and bow before his image, all you wish.
So, what do you call someone who has an abundance of solid evidence at their fingertips but refuses to have a fair-minded attitude toward such evidence--or even to apprehend sufficient amounts of it; is unreasonably hostile to it; denies abundant realities; believes shallow rationalizations and behaves like a supreme Kool Aid drinker?
Qx, my kids and grand kids know my IQ and the quality of my character. The rest of the world can go suck rocks or chase ducks.
I forget the naysayer from many hears ago hereon. He used to say that if he were ever abducted by a UFO, he'd ask them to drop by Qx's house so he could apologize. There will be a lot of FREEPERS eating that serving of crow, in due course.
Which might be a bit curious to those with some fair-minded intellect with which to consider the incidents.
Good for you. Have a great life. Screw that tin foil hat on tighter and wait for the star people to come and take you for a ride on their space ship. Make sure you go to the bathroom before you leave.
I’d rather think of it as a UFO than as a Chinese or Russian experimental ‘raider’...
It could have been a terrorist headed for a nearby city.
Major fail.
Guy Malone's 400+ case study archive is instructive in such regards. He never found a single case of an abduction where the abductees were authentic Christians with an active, intimate walk and Relationship with Jesus.
He did find a number of cases where abductees in the midst of being abducted suddenly remembered some of their Sonday School lessons and ordered the abduction to stop "In Jesus' Name." And it stopped, instantly and the critters disappeared just as suddenly.
However, I doubt your vast intellect could properly process such a spiritual discussion so maybe you'd just best ignore yet another mountain of evidence.
It's always been curious to both of us that such a huge percentage (evidently) of hyper-rationalists are soooo arrogantly, smugly, rigidly, stubbornly, narrow-mindedly, prissy-ly, and with so much haughty hostility so willfully blind and such supreme 'know-it-all's.'
Qx's only explanation is that they are obviously afflicted with serious degrees of RAD (Attachment Disorder) such that they have an intense OCD compulsion to smack down that which threatens their cosmology--coupled with an intense need to prove everything to the nth degree, chapter and verse according to their constipated criteria and their world view--as though their criteria and world view were the supreme authorities on every subject--and particularly on UFO's.
Yet, they think others are morons. Interesting--slightly.
In the 1950's the initial military orders were to try and shoot them down.
Then the UFOs started shooting our military planes down AND shooting our airliners out of the sky.
The military rescinded the shoot down orders and no more airliners were shot out of the sky by the UFOs.
One of the mantras of the military the last 60+ years was that the craft did not present a threat to our national security. What a farce of a position.
LOL.
Carl Sagan is a self-impressed windbag.
Carl’s taking a dirt nap.
I remember a pilot in the UK who was given the order to fire on a UFO. I can’t remember whether he fired or lost contact (I seem to vaguely remember that he couldn’t lock on).
1953
I would pay $50 to see him debate Jordon Peterson.
Well put.
"The fool has said in his heart: 'There is no God.' "
And, there were a lot of incidents where the moment the military pilot armed their weapons, they lost all electronic control of the weapons and usually of the plane, too.
That would be an interesting debate. Carl was not near as bright as he thought he was.
