Frankly, I am surprised they didn't get fighter jets on it as soon as they learned it was unresponsive.

It could have been a terrorist headed for a nearby city.

Except in special cases, the military orders have reportedly been to ignore them.

In the 1950's the initial military orders were to try and shoot them down.

Then the UFOs started shooting our military planes down AND shooting our airliners out of the sky.

The military rescinded the shoot down orders and no more airliners were shot out of the sky by the UFOs.

One of the mantras of the military the last 60+ years was that the craft did not present a threat to our national security. What a farce of a position.

An editor should have sent this piece back to the reporter and had him put the important stuff first - and with more 'follow up' explanations. The comment below was in the middle of the piece and there's some follow up about area 51 research and concerns the unknown was Chinese or Russian rather than 'aliens'... I got the feeling the people in the fighter jets knew what they were doing.
