Where is the outrage?

President Donald Trump reportedly endorsed a .25 cent gas tax hike to pay for his $200 billion infrastructure plan.

We pay enough gas taxes in California, thanks to Jerry Brown. WE WANT NO MORE GAS TAXES!

I’m thinking and hoping that Trump is smarter than this. Raising taxes, ANY sort of raising taxes, will doom his presidency. Cut spending instead.

I was getting gas Sunday in Arizona. On the pump next to me a guy said to his wife "It's $1.25 less than California".

Maybe that 25 cents doesn't look that bad to the rest of us. And you guys voted in moonbeam, not us.

President Donald Trump reportedly endorsed a .25 cent gas tax hike <

That is being reported on a number of different news sites. I sure hope Trump hasn’t joined the ‘Everything Can Be Solved By Raising Taxes’ club.

Did you know that the Tax Bill included drilling in ANWR? Did you know that it included repealing the Obamacare Individual Mandate? Why don’t you wait until President Trump actually “betrays” us before getting you panties in a knot?

I’m fine with it, IF, the money is only used for highways (that means legislative changes) and if this toll road crap ends.

I’d much rather pay an extra $250 for my gasoline each year (25 MPG, 25,000 miles), then pay the $3000 or so it will cost if Trump manages to privatize our highways.

Yeah, we all want to see gas up at $5/gal again. Here in WA our one-party government is wanting a ‘carbon’ tax on fuels.

Where is the outrage?

Why expect outrage over an unverified story from questionable (at best) news sources?

There was a bozo repub from PA talking on Fox the other day that said the committee studying the issue was hot to trot on a gas tax. Can you imagine the reaction to “they giveth and they taketh away” on taxes. Pelosi will be out with, “they gave us crumbs and now they want the crumbs back.” I hope Trump isn’t falling for this.

I think some people misunderstand these meetings. Someone mentions raising taxes and Trump says something lije we’ll consider that, anyone else have any suggestions? Then someone leaks that Trump agrees to raising taxes. Then Never Trump eats it up. It happens every time.

For those who never understood decimals, .25 cents is 1/4 of one cent. Not a big deal.

Twenty-five cents, however, is more significant, regardless of whether or not the news is either totally fake, or is being misreported, either intentionally or from gross ignorance of basic math.
