It's day 4! I didn't stay up all night and watch events live, so I'll have to settle for canned Olympics.

As much as I want the USA to do well....I just can’t get behind this guy.
Anybody know what caliber that rifle is that they were using during the ski and shoot? I’m thinking a .22 and it sure looked neat and were they either hand loading each round from a lever of some sort?
Rather watch the MFL which I don’t than the Olympics.
Figure skating was nice and that ski and shoot and speed skating ...

I didn’t want to like Rippon’s performance but I think he did a good job. Technically he was very good. Wish he hadn’t spoiled his appearance by acting so rudely towards our VP. There was no call for it all.

The Shib Sibs are doing the ice dance free program. They’re good, but against Virtue and Moir of Canada....I dunno. I’s love to see us with a silver.

The modern Olympics have always been pointless:
* It used to be professionals from all but a few countries — the USA being the predominant of the few.
* Now it is all professionals. So what is the point? If you don’t do the sport year-around and get paid for that you won’t win.
* Next it will be genderless which means it is over for humans born with an XX chromosome pair and a vagina (even lesbians no matter what your eyes tell you.
The usual response to my kind of post is “why post this if you don’t watch?”
Just putting out there to see why people watch.
