There is no monetary reward, of course.
But let's as FReepers place "bets". We can give each other Schiff later over who was wrong or right.
Some think he's napping, some think he's working behind the scenes.
So, if you'd like to participate, please do, and I hope I'm right but I vote for working behind the scenes.
Assuming Sessions is not dead or pulling a Rip Van Winkle, you can assume he sometimes works on something. (e.g., crossword puzzles, reasons for not handing documents to Congress, drafting statements of support for swamp critters and institutions, writing memos of intent/non-compliance/recusal, attending meetings, etc.).
Another assumption would be that he’s not a leader. Leader’s don’t hide, look weak, cower and stumble in front of committees and recuse themselves from events that threaten our country’s stability. By contrast, Rosenstein gives every appearance of running DOJ, which is likely the case given how fast he threw the Mueller monkey wrench into Trump’s gears. Sessions’ lack of experience managing a large, runaway, bureaucratic organization suggests he’s probably way in over his head and trying to stay afloat, which is where my vote goes.
I am reminded of the idea that large government bureaucracies are like thousands of ants on a log floating down a river where each one thinks it is or should be steering.
I really hope you are correct....but it appears the opposite
I doubt he even knows about the Bundy cases. He’ll know about the problems being investigated on the Hill and by the IG and that’s about it.
The cases of FBI abuse in the heartland should be lobbied in Congress. They need to be educated on what has happened. They have to be hounded. Also, the general public is not aware of the details of the cases of FBI abuse. The papers demonized the innocent like the FBI did. It’s like making people aware that cops were killing a lot of innocent people. The FBI is acting even worse and need to be followed, protested and exposed. Otherwise, they will continue to get away with it.
“Sessions in in deep over his head.”
I think so, too. As Senator, life was easy, good, and generally nonconfrontational. He could play the role of “aw shucks” southern gentleman, slow as molasses in January, and be ultra civil referring to “my friend across the aisle” with a Kewpie doll grin on his face.
Now we need a hard-ass, in-your-face, pit bull and it’s just not his character. He can’t help it. Hillary would say, “Boo!” to him and he’d swoon.
His appointment was a thank-you gift for his early support of DJT because he made the candidate credible and legit. Over his head, though.
All of this is just IMHO. I HOPE I AM WRONG. I PRAY I am wrong.
He’s shaping the battlefield. Sure, he could have arrested most of these seditionists long ago, on charges of perjury or govt. malfeasance. But to prove a wide-ranging conspiracy is much harder, and requires leaving the subjects enough rope to hang themselves. Why do you think prosecuting the mob takes years and years. This will be done in record time, but for some, soon is not soon enough.
Where do you think all these stories to Hannity, Sara Carter, etc. are all coming from? They are not incidental leaks. They are officially sanctioned leaks that are painting a narrative to bring the public up to speed on what must and will be done, at the right moment.
...and I would add to my earlier comment that, to prove a conspiracy is necessary for getting the big fish.
complicit and covering up schiff like a three legged cat in a dirty litter box
It’s like Schrodinger’s Sessions. Is he or is he not asleep? We won’t find out until the box is opened.
Removing him would only benefit those haters in the Republican elite who despise us little folk (except during campaigns). You'd have McCain and Flake and other low-life determining who the next AG would be.
Who but AG Sessions could keep a lid on the cheap labor supply the bought and paid for pols of both political parties want to preserve?
Unless someone here is either Trump or Sessions {incognito}no FReeper KNOWS anything, but, my HOPE is that you are correct.
If I had to bet my life on my choice, I'd flip a coin...and run like hell before it hit the ground.
Your spouting has a special character of its own. I can see what "mode" you're in at the moment...
“There is a tide in the affairs of men which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures.”
Sessions has missed the tide. Why is not important. He has to go.
As a Senator - Winner
As AG - Loser
Me too. But also lost me when he decided not to pursue Lois lerner
Sessions needs to be gone fast.
Sessions lacks cahoonas’, needs to be replaced with a head hunter that does have a pair.
Sessions is a good and decent man but is nothing more than a backwoods country lawyer. He cannot take action, be fired or even resign due to perception of obstruction of justice by the President. We know Trump has the cajones to do the deed, but he is smart enough not to hand his own head on a platter to Mueller.
You have correctly cited the Free Republic Sessions dogma but failed to provide even a hint of evidence
He’s a big disappointment to me!!!
I think he is very focused on law and order and isn't prone to wild public spectacles when it comes to law enforcement (hence the disappointment of a lot of Freepers who want to see Hillary Clinton dragged out of her home in chains).
It may turn out that his biggest impact is in an area that doesn't get much coverage here as a DOJ responsibility: successfully defending the U.S. government -- specifically the executive branch -- in a whole boatload of legal challenges in various Federal lawsuits over every executive order President Trump has signed.
