Washington (CNN) — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke for a little more than eight hours to oppose the budget deal to lift spending caps and avert a government shutdown -- because the plan does not address immigration issues.
The House Historian's office told CNN that Pelosi's speech is the longest on record on the House floor, according to their records.
Pelosi started speaking shortly after 10 a.m. ET, and wrapped the speech a little after 6:10 p.m. ET.
"I have had the privilege of reading the testimony from Dreamers, I still have more," she said, receiving applause in the chamber. "I thank all of you."
A source close to the California Democrat told CNN she thought of the idea overnight to speak for hours on the House floor. The source said she was wearing four-inch-heels while delivering the speech and only sipped water.

Someone needs to review the employment records at her family restaurants & also surveil the number of ‘workers’ going in & out of those locations every day.
You do NOT run a legal restaurant in California without a staff of illegals.
This had little to do with the Dreamers. This was about Pelosi pulling a stunt that makes her look more mentally fit than she is. She is losing her mind. She repeatedly says “Bush” when she means “Trump” for instance. She slurs her words, loses her place when speaking, etc.

An Angel Mother was being interviewed on Fox this morning about Pelosi’s speech. Her teen son was tortured, killed, and burned by an illegal teen. The woman said Nancy should do a “shut-up-athon”.

Hey, If the dems want to protect this class of illegal aliens and provide them with every benefit available to citizens, I say they have to set up a separate super fund so that citizen’s Dreamers can apply to reduce their college loans, dollar for dollar spent on the illegals.
