On Thursday morning's "Ellen," Michelle Obama gave her very first live interview since she left the White House a year ago.
And in just the first few minutes on air, Michelle couldn't help but tell a BIG lie about Melania Trump, and "The Gift."
If you recall, on the day of Donald J. Trump's inuguaration, Melania Trump graciously presented a present to Mr. Obama -- from Tiffany's in New York City.
It was a lovely gesture. But you wouldn't have known it from Michelle -- who didn't seem pleased at all. In fact she acted like she had been handed a bag of dog poop...
No gratitude. No thanks. Just a horrified Michelle trying to get rid of it.
Well Mrs. Obama finally had an "explanation" for her infamous reaction, and told Ellen quite the story...

Most women would have recalled giving a gift to former First Lady Laura Bush, unless it was a thoughtless gesture arranged by a faceless aide. But to see the graciousness of Mrs. Bush’s acceptance contrasted to the uncouth reaction of Mrs. Obama is stark. Why tell such a lie on television?
