That's the argument of Belichick vs Brady: who made who? I think both are important but QB is crucial, they touch the ball on every offensive snap. If they aren't good then your chance of winning goes down immensely. A great defense can still be a decider even with a weak QB but it's very, very hard. If everyone universally acknowledges that Brady is the so-called "GOAT" then doesn't that make the coach's job a LOT easier? Belichick was a head coach before he had Brady and he wasn't good. 36-44 with the Browns and then 5-11 in his first season with the Pats, the year before Brady took over. That's 41-55 record of teams he coached where Tom Brady wasn't the Day 1 starter. With Brady he's the "best coach in history". Coincidence?
This is BBG's cousin, she's half-Guatemalan and therefore much shorter, but otherwise identical!
That’s her cousin? Such a lovely family.
NE -4.5 - The Patriots need to win by 5. If the score is 20 to 16, bettor loses. If it is 21 - 16, bettor wins.
Eagles +4.5 - The eagles need not win, but not lose by more than 4. If it is NE 20 - 16, bettor wins. If it is NE 21 - 16, bettor loses.
NE money line -208. Bettor needs to bet 208 dollars to win 100 dollars, but NE only needs to win by one point.
Eagles money line +178. Eagles need to win, but only by one point. A 100 dollar bet wins 178 dollars.
For the stout of heart, the most profitable bet would be the money line bet on the Eagles if they win.
Most SB games aren't squeakers - well, recently a few have been - granted.
Patriots will beat the 5 point give to Eagles. - JMHO - we're about to find out.
I'm only 2 for 2 this year anyway.

Coyingkydink? Dunno. And yes, a good QB is critical. But I believe a good coach is indispensable. A good coach/general manager can spot a QB with (hidden) potential based on perimeters others are overlooking - similar to Walsh picking Montana - 82nd player to be selected in that year’s draft - and a good coach can mold that not-ready-for-prime-time QB.
A good coach can turn a mediocre QB into a great QB. (I don’t see much of that with today’s coaches.) On the other hand, it is very rare to have a Brady-type out-of-the-box, ready to rock and roll.
Thanks for hosting today’s thread. Love these Live Superbowl threads.
Yeah, I'm a real genius too. LOL!
The Patriots are undefeated by Birds in the Super Bowl.
If they can, I can see the Eagles winning 27-23. But if not, the Patriots win 28-20. The sad part is that if Carson Wentz was QB, I'd easily favor the Eagles because they would have a highly mobile player that can easily evade any Patriots pass rush.
The spread was originally 6 points.
If youre following history, and the style of games the Patriots play in the SB, thats too big.
A lot of gamblers got bets in before the line slid to 4.
“...but I hate the Iggles more ....”
Out of curiosity, why the animosity towards Philly???
He’s a Cowboys fan.
Cowboys, Eagles, etc., Ok, I get it.
Like the Flyers and NY Rangers...
Ha!
The network stream site is good (no validation, no sign up or download required) so I’ll get to watch it!
Don’t see how it can compare to last year’s. What a game that was.
You can put me down for the dammed Patties, too. I don’t see Tom Coughlin on the sidelines for Philly today...
