Hollyweird comes out with all these violent gun movies and then says that “The Passion” was too violent.

I watched Jim’s testimony on YouTube this week. Didn’t know he had pneumonia, a separated shoulder let alone getting struck by lightning. He is a brother walking with us followers of Jesus. I have much respect for him.

There are things that I cannot say that will shock the audience," said the actor in a USA Today interview. It's great. Stay tuned. If you've read the book, there should be no *shocks*.
If they put in things that are going to *shock* the audience, then about a bazillion red flags just went up.

I will be very VERY difficult to top that original from 2004.
I saw it before, I’m still not ready to see it a second time.
To: EdnaMode
Can’t wait until this one comes out! The original was more than an “experience” for me. Life changing, would be more to the point.

Were trying to craft this in a way thats cinematically compelling and enlightening so that it shines new light, if possible, without creating some weird thing.Maybe they'll do the part with the zombies. That would be cool.

James Caveizal is one of my favorite actors. All around great guy who sacrifice his career to bring us an epic.

It seems that most Hollywood productions about Jesus end with the empty tomb, but gloss over those forty days He spent on Earth before the Ascension.
Forty days of His Godliness made manifest on Earth. That's a pretty big story.
If I had a time machine, and it was a one-way trip - it would be to those Forty Days.

My personal view of this is mixed. To begin, after my first viewing of "The Passion", I have not been able to sit while the movie is underway. I must stand, or kneel, but I cannot sit and watch as though it is simply entertainment. For me, it is a matter of respect - not of the movie, but the remembrance of His passion. Consequently, I have seen it only a very few number of times. I own several unopened copies of the movie, and have gifted copies to people who don't quite understand the nature of His sacrifice.
I suspect the same will be true of the Resurrection, for all the same reasons.
