I am curious if anyone knows anything about the Masons. You always hear about them and how they are super secretive. You always hear how they ride to places of great power and they love to put their symbols all over the place secretly. But what do they stand for? What are their beliefs? I really have no idea.
Anyone know?
No, you mean to say Reverand Charles Finney is in error.
So refute him, and his words, not me. God bless.
If you exclude Rev. Charles Finney’s treatise on freemasonry, during the height of the Anti Mason Party, you haven’t done your homework on Masonry.
LOL. Refute J Q Adams or Finney, then I’ll be happy to listen...
but you can’t.
In light of Finney’s and Adams’ indictments of the Lodge, your response is such weak tea.
Sad.
I used to eat ice cream with a Mason, late at night...
I am a Mason. I’m a past master of my lodge. I’ve conferred the degrees. Everything he said is false. Literally. Everything. His statements refute themselves. But hey, none of that matters to you.
Thanks, you saved me some typin. Notice he’s following men and not Scripture.
LOL. Instead of refuting Finney’s points, you make a crass personal declaration like a good FR troll.
Finney’s criticisms of freemasonry are timeless and irrefutable, as are John Quincy Adams. Their beliefs against masonry were the foundation of the modern conservative Republican party.
So take his arguments apart, if you know so much better than Reverend Finney.
(You can’t do it. Just admit it. You are against Christ and bound in some weird freemason situation. Sorry for you but the Truth in Christ will set you free. Oh, and the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is NOT the same as Allah, or Satan, the demon who wrote the Koran.)
LOL again... you can’t refute Reverend Charles Finney’s indictment of masonry because it is entirely based on Scripture.
The whole dark and creepy Masonic secrecy angle is antiChrist, as Finney writes, because Christians are to imitate Christ “who did nothing in secret”...
Thank you sir. This Masonic stuff is deadly for those seeking Christ.
The pope is against Masonry for some reason they thought up. Finney apparently doesn't like Masonry for some unknown reason he thought up. You can twist any verse you want to mean all sorts of things you can define out of context in Scripture. I don't spend all night monitoring FR for comments that are useless and uniformed. If you have never been to a lodge or don't hang with Masons, how can you evaluate the value of Freemasonry? I was merely pointing out you were relying on someone that lived long ago, who probably was never a Mason to form your opinion. Inform YOURSELF, and then comment. I would rather be in the company of Geo. Washington, Hamilton, Hancock, Sam Adams, and I think Patrick Henry, or in the Texas Revolution, Houston, Travis, Boone and others. These were leaders that formed countries and governments that rivaled the greatest in the world. They had wisdom and common sense with the courage and will to make it happen. Many of the greatest people that have ever lived were Masons.
To be upset that we have secrecy in what we do is just envy. That's against the 10th Commandment BTW. There is much we do even today that goes "unsung" as they say. The Lodge doesn't seek fame. These are humble men seeking to make things better for people that have been dealt a bad hand. I've even seen a lodge that built a new house for a widow with children. That's why the lodge is so attractive to serious Christians who want to participate in good works. There are many churches that don't have the money or the manpower to accomplish much as a church. There are churches that have the manpower and money but do almost nothing. If someone is looking to give back to the community, the Lodge could fill that need for them. It is NOT a religion and you may have to show grace to people that don't believe as you do. There are Hypocrites in the lodge just as there are in churches. At some point you just have to go where you can follow your drives and not worry about others trying to manage your future. I would hate to go through life avoiding Masonry because of what someone else told you. Find out for yourself and make your own choices. If you are a believing Christian, you should have enough discernment to decide for yourself if it's eeevvvilll.( said like Boris Karlof would say it) Chances are you will see people you know and never thought were Masons.
You apparently haven’t read Reverend Finney’s classic work, that I have linked twice in this thread, entitled “Why I Left Freemasonry”...
So... until you do your homework on Finney’s Christian refutation of the entirety of masonry, I won’t take the time to read your (wordy) post.
Please educate yourself on the history of the Anti-Mason Party, and how and why it is the foundation for modern conservatism as well as Lincoln’s Republican Party, the GOP.
Read Pres. John Quincy Adams’ refutations of freemasonry as well before you get back to me.
You’ll learn a lot, and possibly spare your soul and others from eternal damnation.
Just do your homework and get back to me. Until then, you are just posting promasonic, pagan gibberish.
Actually, instead of slogging your way through a lot of hearsay and nonsense, try starting with some authentic, basic source materials that are respected and recommended by both Masons and non-Masons alike.

We only believe in ONE Supreme Being.
We only believe in ONE Supreme Being.

Korans present at meetings say otherwise.
You could do yourself and any other members a great service by reading and studying the New Testament. Hopefully realize the truth the Christ is your Lord an Savior. And turning from sin and accepting him as your Lord and Savior is your ONLY path to Heaven (Jesus himself said this) Accept him as such. Realize that the Koran is nonsense. Go to your next meeting and tell everyone. No true friend would let someone they care about go on believing something that will lead them to eternity away from God. Again, these are the words of Jesus Christ. You have to decide if he is a nut, a liar, or telling the truth.
Have you ever attended a lodge meeting? In every lodge that I have belonged to or attended the Bible is found in the center of the lodge. Yes, the Koran is unbelievable and there is no evidence for Mohamed or any of the writers of the book.
I have not been to a Mason meeting but my dad was high up in the lodge. Ultimately I talked him into realizing the nonsense that it was and he accepted Christ as his Savior and became a Christian. I believe you are incorrect when you imply that Masons believe in one God. I believe what my father told me was that in order to belong you had to believe in a Supreme Being meaning you could also believe that that Supreme being was Allah which is garbage in should not be condoned anywhere. And any Lodge or any institution that contributes to such misinformation should be condemned in my opinion.
Perhaps your Dad wasnt a Christian. I dont really care. But the Masons arent a religion, its a civic organization. If your father was high up in it and didnt understand that...then he must not have been paying much attention.
His acceptance of Christ wouldnt exclude him from being a mason. And if your church opposed it, then that doesnt make a lot of sense.
You must believe everything you read.
How sad for you.
And in some towns Rotary runs stuff. Same shit, different group.
All this religious conspiracy crap is so tedious. Some folks sound like the Sunni and Shiite.
Sunni , meet Shite.
You guys are worse.
