I’ll point this out over technology and the need for driver’s licenses.

By 2040, there will be cars on the roads of America which are entirely driven by computer. The need for drivers, driver’s training and even driver’s licenses...will start to be discussed, and I would suggest that by 2050...most kids will be finishing high school with no interest in getting a license, and all fifty states will allow cars to operate with unlicensed people merely sitting inside of them.

So the topic of the license as being an ID? This next generation of kids to come along....will be in this group who won’t have a need for driver’s licenses. You are looking at the end for this necessity.

We might want to all sit and pause over this and ponder the question of where we go with this, and if a national ID card or chip, or whatever....is the best direction.

Lacing the land, including all parking lots and driveways, with highly reliable tracking mechanisms will be needed. The idea of self guided autos is very old. The means of doing it everywhere we want a car to be able to go, remains a tantalizing future dream. I think we will breed a CatDog first.

NO WAY am I going to have any thing to do with those type of cars. Just one more way to track people and control them.

Surrender your Man Card.
Just drop it in the slot at the Post Office in the morning.

If there’s a man in a car; he’s driving it, teaching one of his kids to drive it, in a coffin in the back, or it’s not his car.

I already lived into the twilight of the most fun days of the automobile. I give a f*k your luxury sedan is quick; it has no soul; there’s no viscera to it, anymore. Formula One is 80% computerized, now; the cars are programmed for the tracks — when to shift, when to brake — the drivers are there to steer. The new Porsche 911’s are SO refined in their control systems the driver is layers removed from the road; you almost CAN’T screw up in the curves. Look at what BMW has done to the M3, for crying out loud! That was THE BENCHMARK sport coup for years. Now — pffft! So much luxury it’s taken all the “sport” out of it; the heart is so deeply buried under tech and leather that you can’t feel it beating, anymore.

Driver-less car? Not this cat, Brother. Amid a flood of Federal and Municipal governments channeling Satan’s inner Control Freak, driving is the last frontier of personal freedom. You surrender that, you may as well burn The Constitution to ashes ‘cuz “the American Experiment” will be OVER.

Sorry, but the whole ‘NEED’ was a false flag to begin. Like many other Socialist schemes, just another way to get govt to intrude and slow *RULE*.

If the ‘need’ was to show ‘proficiency’, one does not show the same on a closed course. Why allow online/mail in renewals? How can one determine ‘fitness’ sight-unseen? We don’t auto-deny based on age; though reflexes/sight and ability decrease w/ the same.

How did was go from ‘Right of travel’ to ‘permission required\mode-of-by-govt-approval’?? Were not by horse/carriage dangerous (trampled/over-turned)?

Even the term ‘driver’ has been perverted from ‘one whom it hired’ to generic ‘operator’

Pink slips to govt-approved registration\notes

Seat belts optional > ticketed for non-use.

I get where you’re going, but govt will FIND a ‘need’ for “Papers, please”, even if the teleporter were invented tomorrow.

This world will never make it to 2040 in it’s current configuration and 99% of the people alive now won’t be alive by then either.

The technologies they’re talking about having in less than 5 years aren’t even mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

Time is up literally IMHO. Get right with Christ NOW!
