I have a question to FReepers out there, and also the Moderators.
I was recently suspended from posting for several days, TWICE for the reason that I was posting the article of authors who are banned from this site.
Being suspended means you cannot even send a message to the moderator, so I was unable to ask for clarification. Had I been allowed to send a message, I would at least know the name of the author whose article was not welcome.
I learned that the article of one such writer -- C. Edmund Wright ( who used to be a poster here), who writes for the American Thinker, is not welcome in this site. All well and good, I will no longer post his articles here.
My question is this -- WHICH OTHER AUTHOR(s) is/are banned from this site? I certainly do not want to be suspended again for not knowing who is unwelcome?
Is there a link somewhere in FR that gives a list of authors who are not welcome?
Thanks very much in advance for your information.
. Americanthinker.com articles are posted here (excerpt and link) every day. They are not a crackpot site.
The questton was in regard to specific writers being banned. I just searched the site rules and can find no list of banned authors. Perhaps I missed it, but all I could find is a list of publications from which we are not allowed to post articles.
It seems at least somewhat disingenuous to ban someone for posting a banned author while at the same time not providing a list of banned authors. It is hard to follow rules when you dont know what they are.
one of his articles was posted here:

wonder if the poster was banned for it.
Life isn’t always smooth sailing when you’re a FReeper. Sometimes you crash into the rocks.
Agreed. Yet we keep posting stuff from the likes of the Washington Post, or anything similar.
If you'd included a barf alert in the headline I bet you wouldn't have been suspended.
I've seen his work go from resembling conservativish rino to outright Bill Kristol bad.
So are most of the writers at the New York Times, but people dont get banned for posting their articles.
That link/thread is in serious need of updates.
I wish I could tell you what I know, but I might get suspended so...
Might I propose a technical solution?
It seems to me that a simple script could be written that would check the contents of the author field and the site field and check them against a list of banned authors and sites. If the proposed message contains either, it could not be accepted and a default “banned content” type message returned to the author. The response message could even provide a link to the current banned content list.
Not that it would stop all possible banned content but could act as a pre-filter.
Just thinking out loud here.
I’ve learned there’s no material allowed from VDARE.com because they are considered racists, but they repost Patrick Buchanan, Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin, along with their own opinion writers who oppose the flood of immigrants into the country taking jobs from Americans and changing the culture.
I might not agree with all their opinions, but I think they’re entitled to them if we still are a truly free society.
It is silly.
I don’t mind trudging through the mud of many posts, that is why I come here.
ZeroHedge got blocked today
RE: It seems to me that a simple script could be written that would check the contents of the author field and the site field and check them against a list of banned authors and sites.
I agree with you. Such a script already exists in FR for sites whose contents are not allowed (e.g. Infowars ). We could easily extend that for authors whose articles are not welcome.
RE: ZeroHedge got blocked today
They have been blocked for some time now. I used to be able to post their articles.
Having been the founder of a state channel on IRC with 10,000 users I am unable to comment on this because it will get me banned.
I will tell you the parties were great - statewide - every weekend. Women wanted to be with me and men wanted to be me. Then I grew up and I handed the channel to my top SOP. He ruined it. To this day I will not speak to him. Damned idiot. It could have been monetized. He could have been benevolent.
My benevolence payed off handsomely. I asked a chick on the channel flirting with me to explain Heisenberg uncertainty as a brush off, and when she did I married her.
Good to know
What a jerk and pretty full of himself to boot.
Good riddance.
Rather difficult when you have posters who leave the author out.
He shouldn't be. Not like Allahpundit actually has any genuine insights. Just garbage level opinion on stuff we already know, plus anti-Trump snark.
i got busted a bunch of times for posting the same banned author.
It was embarrassing, I shouldn’t have kept making the same mistake.
