An engineer who was fired by Google for circulating an anti-diversity memo sued the company this week, alleging that the tech giant discriminates against white, conservative men. He’s likely not alone in that belief.
There are other white men working in tech who believe their gender and race are making it difficult for them to get ahead, according to a survey by the Pew Research Center about diversity in the science and technology fields.
Pew asked a nationally representative sample of white men with jobs in science, technology, math and engineering (or STEM) fields whether they thought their gender made it harder for them to succeed. Of the 14% who said yes, more than 1 in 10 said they had been affected by reverse discrimination.
When Pew posed a similar question about race to the survey respondents, nearly 20% of those who said race made their job harder cited reverse discrimination as the reason for their challenges. […]

We are of the same generation and respect the achievements of my parents.
However their hard work should not provide me with any economic advantages in a job market.
You just don’t get it
When they use the phrase “reverse discrimination” instead of simply “discrimination”, you know it is a politically correct article with a Progressive ideology.
All you can do is chip away.

There seems to be a lifespan of bureaucracies. An organization is founded to get things done. It works as you say for about 30-40 years. Then all the original founders have died off or retired, and most of their acolytes/hand picked successors.
The organization then goes to bean counters and bureaucrats without the original founders vision. It goes downhill from there.
I saw it happen at Yuma Proving Ground. Sad, really sad.
Of course, there are organizations that never get much done at all.
Why not?
Humans have always built on the advancements of those who came before them.
Those that came before them were not always of the same race, creed or color either.
But typically, they were of the same nation. And we the white men of European decent believe that there is no rational for discriminating against us when it comes to hiring decisions.
If we are qualified for the job we should be hired unless there is another candidate better qualified for the job. The United States should be a color blind and gender blind society.
It is long past time that affirmative action walks off in to history.
I have been turned down for four different special technical jobs by the Government because I was a white male.
All four times the agencies that really wanted to hire me were told by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) that the positions had to be filled by a minority, woman, or both. There were no other people who applied that had the qualifications so OPM told them they would get extra money to give the new hire up to a year to train for the job. The problem was the jobs required years of experience and there was no way one year of training would ever suffice.
None of those four jobs were ever filled.

Back in the 90s I was in a scientific billet in the DoD along with four other men. For two years our boss was a man-hating female (she would tell us that at least once per month) with a degree in English. She was a backstabbing piece of work. Her replacement was a female with a degree in History but at least she was a very nice person and just let us do our jobs.
All True.
It happened to me
I had a dream about it the other week, I was like Where is everyone?
I went to access a place and it was gone, They were there, someone changed the code....

I joined the organization when there were still some of the originals in the top jobs.
I was honest and wanted to do the right thing. I was accepted and fit in, did my job and was protected from those outside the organization. Then the old guys started retiring and dying, and the second tier just did not have the fire in the belly. The rules became more important than the reasons for the organizaiton’s existence.
It became more important to check off the right boxes than to accomplish the mission. Checking off the boxes *became* the mission.
I was able to retire, and leave a competent successor. But the organization has long ceased to be interesting and fun.
With a little reflection, no doubt some of this simple came from growing older.
But a lot of it was from creeping bureaucratization as I described it.
My ex went through that in the 80s with the Highway Patrol. Aced the written and physical tests but wound up with fewer points than fat black women. The examiner pretty much shrugged ... his hands were tied.
I saw something similar when taking the exam for USPS Letter Carrier. Minorities had points added before the test even began. Many were foreigners who couldn’t speak the most minimal English. So people who made the higher scores didn’t get the jobs in many cases.
Was that before or after Fiorina?
White guys helped to bring all this on themselves by their voting for popular liberals or not even bothering to vote. PC is here to stay, it seems.

It's like the nation has lupus. This shit has to get reined in somehow. And the fact that pushing it is a deliberate core strategy of the democratic party is proof positive that--in the immortal words of Andrew Breitbart--"They are f*****g evil."
