Just say no to DACA and all other immigration vote schemes designed to increase democrat power

Posted on 01/09/2018 2:32:47 PM PST by Cubs Fan

This is a critical time in America--Trump needs to say no to DACA, it is nothing but another demographic nail in Americas coffin. As are all the democrats immigration schemes

If we don't start getting our immigration policies right the country is going to be over. Do you really want to see the Entire US become a larger version of California, where Hispanics and blacks outnumber whites and the dems have full control of power forever? because that is what is coming if things don't start changing here and now.

Trump needs to say no to DACA. Tell the republicans Time to end the filibuster so there is no government shutdown, and tell them to fully fund the wall. We the voters gave them full control of the government, time to use it.

Don’t worry the Dems aren’t going to support a DACA deal because of the elimination of chain migration, visa lottery, and building the wall.

He can steal all he wants and they will still vote against him and vote for democrats for generations. We are screwed if he lets them in. Why don’t they ever talk about deporting the DACA parents? The ones that actually committed the crime of illegally crossing the border. They are never mentioned.

“Trump needs to say no to DACA,”

Absolutely correct. We’ve seen these amnesty scams before. Amnesty now, then we’ll give you border security. Which never comes.

As that wise man Wimpy said, “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.

It hasn't seemed to happen with other groups, not likely. Of course I wish it could be but am realistic.

It could be game over anyway. I thought I heard it through Rush. In any case, Puerto Ricans are angry with Trump and are moving stateside. They already are citizens. The number estimated currently in FL is 200K. Another 200K a possibility.

All they have to do is register and vote. They already can vote in primaries but not being a state, can't vote in presidential elections. If the Democrats take Florida, it's not likely we will have another conservative/RINO in years to come. Very unsettling.

elimination of chain migration, visa lottery,

Make no mistake about it.

This means bringing back the QUOTA system in place before Ted Kennedy and the COMMUNIST DEMOCRATS got rid of quotas in the Immigration Act of 1965.

We have ENOUGH Mexicans, Somalians, etc.

Very low number from non -white countries, increase the quota from white countries.

Trump needs to talk about democrat plans for a White Minority and say that he intends to prevent it.

>>I think President Trump is trying to steal the DACA voters away from the Democrats<<

I think the same. If he gets the wall (he probably will) he will say “courtesy of democrats.” If he doesn’t there will be no DACA and he can say “courtesy of the democrats.”

I am pretty sure there will be a DACA. I don’t see how that can be escaped. The issue is to VERY narrowly craft it and take broad credit for it.

Realpolitik sucks.

IF he provides a path to citizenship for true DACA people, then he may have pulled off a political coup for the ages.................

You are right.

I may have not seen the news report correctly, but the President seemed to defer the negotiations on all things immigrant to about a dozen R’s and D’s of whom he said all of them he knows and respects.

Whatever they come up with, he will accept. Even if something comes to his desk that he “doesn’t love”, he will still sign it because he will respect the deal they come up with.

Again, maybe I didn’t see it right or the news outfit (CNBC) didn’t put it it’s proper perspective, but it looks to me the President has relinquished control of the negotiations.

His fingerprints will not be directly on this deal.

I welcome any corrections.

Yep.

This is what I saw today watching this unfold

Three things are important to note regarding today's "Media Show and tell"

1) When Trump was asked by the democrats for his short list, Trump sent them a SECOND copy of his outline not a new one.

2)By having this photo op for the media, the pictures shows a sane, calm, competent, leader who "thoughtfully" appears to listen to all sides...which doesn't seem to resemble what the NEW tell all book seems to claim, and

3) Trump is dumping the bill in the congress's lap just like O'Bozo Care, except this time he's going to let all the politicians expose who they are, and where their priorities are AGAIN for we the people right before the primaries are complete and before the 2018 mid terms. Giving us the option to "Cantor" our representatives if we choose to.

I don't think Trump expects these folks to get this done just like obozo care. I think Trump has a Plan B waiting for DHS or the Army Corps of Engineers to implement.

Right now, this is about forcing Congress to do the right thing for us, their constituents. Failing to do that has consequences for re-election for all of them. Self preservation is a strong motivator for these slime-balls.

He did say no.
DACA came in as an EO and went out as an EO in Sept. 2017. DACA is done with exceptions.
Any DACA recipients with a permit set to expire before March 5, 2018 had the opportunity to apply for a two-year renewal if they applied by October 5.
The last authorization would end March 5, 2020.

What do do with those already under DACA is the question. Right now they seem to be being used as bargaining chips for the wall.

So long as Republicans/Trump stick to these terms, all is good then.

As to what sort of immigration legislation he would approve, Trump said that he was reliant on lawmakers and that even if they produced legislation he wasn't "in love with," he would still support it

The way I see it is that the “dreamers” aren’t going anywhere and were never going anywhere so if you can exchange that (which amounts to nothing since they’re not going to be deported anyways) for an end of chain migration, a wall, killing the lottery and merit based immigration that’s a huge win. I just never thought they were going anywhere. There are about 20 million illegals, the “dreamers” are, of that number, the lowest priority so if you get a huge ball rolling by giving them legal status I see that as a win.

Since when do you HAVE TO make deals with a party out of power?

Not a good bargain, here's a better bargain-- end budget filibusters. Fully fund the wall, and say no to DACA.

Knowing how things usually go though, we'll probably get DACA and no wall, and MAGA will just be a speed bump on the road to ruin.
