Donald Trump’s spiritual adviser has suggested that people send her money in order to transform their lives, or face divine consequences.
Paula White, who heads up the president’s evangelical advisory committee, suggested making a donation to her ministries to honor the religious principle of “first fruit,” which she said is the idea that all firsts belong to God, including the first harvest and, apparently, the first month of your salary.

I use the classic Jewish method to resolve that problem:
when I have extra cash I just throw it up in the air. What doesn't come back down, I get to keep.
But still. This isn’t exactly what most evangelical/Protestant looks like. Not if she’s on that firstfruits kick (though when it comes to total donations, the Baptists beat that with their traditional “tithe.”)

Ok, but she is saying that people in genral...like Joe Blow who has never heard of her needs to give her a months salary...and not just people that follow her in some way? That would be remarkable to me. Any examples of something similar? I’ve seen Benny Hinn, and consider him a fake money grubber, but I have never heard him claim that.

This is on the edge of reasonable... it all depends on what is taken as following from it.
The deepest Christian view is that everything is used for the glory of God, whether donated or personally consumed.

Trump’s spiritual advisor is a dolphin at the Coney Island Aquarium. Not the sharpest knife in the draw, but smarter than any Democrat out there.

You are missing the point. She has been his “spiritual adviser” for 15 years. She was the subject of a congressional investigation. She has been married three times. High school education. No better than Rev. Wright. You’re okay with that?
I’m a bit chary about big donations to churches that you don’t even go to and haven’t gone to. There’s a lot of consideration.
Southern Baptists are well-represented on the advisory council headed by White.
If you mean Pres. Trump got some bad advice, it wouldn’t be the first time. That said, White isn’t saying anything different now than ever.

Sometimes it’s an honor to get Congressionally investigated. It depends on whom and for what.
The Wrong Wrev. Wright was a destructive race baiter. She’s more a well meaning fanatic, if a fanatic.
I didn’t know all that history on her...I take it all back.
There might be history and politics, too, involved in why she’s got the chief spot. Baptists are commonly saner than telehucksters. Although I’ve run into some pretty vain ones too in my sojourns. “Lord be merciful to me a sinner.”
"Friends" is questionable and "Spiritual advisor" is laughable. For what it's worth, President Reagan was a friend of mine, I attended one of his rallies when he was running for president in 1980. I even got a Christmas Card from he and Nancy.........And a calendar too.....LOL!
The page calls itself "News from al.com", and has various news stories including one about this preacher written back in January of last year by somebody named "Leada Gore"....I'm confused as to why you are saying its "her" direct page. Does Paula White run al.com?

I'm not questioning her televangelism, I'm questioning Newsweek's claim that she was his "Spiritual Advisor".............So prove it.
All I have read has been nothing but fake news citing the fact that she once appeared at the White House, along with other pastors. Nothing I have read substantiates the claim the she was President Trump's personal "Spiritual Advisor" as the article implies.....NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING.......
I'm going to withhold any personal comments I would like to say about you and your perseverance on this topic..........

I give up. I’m sure she’s a female Billy Graham and refuses a salary. Best adviser Trump has. Maybe she got her divinity degree from Trump University.
