Donald Trumps spiritual adviser has suggested that people send her money in order to transform their lives, or face divine consequences.
Paula White, who heads up the presidents evangelical advisory committee, suggested making a donation to her ministries to honor the religious principle of first fruit, which she said is the idea that all firsts belong to God, including the first harvest and, apparently, the first month of your salary.

Never heard of her before the FR post.
I’ll answer my own question, though.
It’s bad now because Newsweek wants to use her to make Trump look bad.
There must be hundreds of preachers on TV every day asking viewers to send in money.
Well at least THIS troupe sounds like big trouble if Paula is head of it. And if those who consent for her to be is part of it. Donald needs better. Why can’t he look at least to more mainstream preachers. Like Franklin Graham.
I have never heard of her before, but I find it hard to believe that is really her position. I have never seen a preacher take it, not even the most obviously fake in-it-for-the-money televangisists--who do indeed solicit donations from those who watch their show and feel they belong in that way to their "flock".
Excellent point, Donna. That sounds like Donald being cagey with the press, and at any rate it happened many months ago.
It’s Newsweek.
Yeah, that's it, her message.
If she'd just go with something like "carbon credits" she'd be fine.
I heard of one snake oil salesman who did quit well in the carbon credits "market".
If you find it hard to believe, you haven’t spent much time watching these characters.
She needs the money to compensate for loss of affection from Benny Hinn.
Benny Hinn often got the raspberry from a bible church where I went for 20-odd years.
I think it’s good that this is airing now... because there needs to be pressure for Donald to look to saner preachers.
He invited her to pray at his inaguration. They go back 15 years.
“Pastor Paula White-Cain was one of three religious leaders offering prayers ahead of the inauguration of Donald Trump.
Known mostly as Paula White, she is the pastor of New Destiny Christian Center of Orlando, Florida, a non-denominational, multi-cultural church whose membership ranges in the thousands. She’s also a televangelist who has served as a spiritual adviser to Trump for at least 15 years.”

I agree. Nothing good can come of it.
When I see her, I think of Benny Hinn. I can’t believe she’s married to Jon Cain.
In Mickey Mouseland huh.
Well. What do more mainstream preachers (again Franklin Graham, or even the modern Jimmy Swaggart) think about this?
There’s plenty on the net about her. Reads like a Natl. Enquirer life style.
Well, WTF...Trump isn’t asking for donations - hell, he doesn’t even take the Presidential salary.
It’s bad optics, and he needs to consider a change in advisors, but this - in no way - reflects on Trump. He can’t help what she does in her private time. You know, like Bernie Sanders wife, etc.

In other news, barack obama’s spiritual advisor, rev White, preached hatred for Whites and the USA. barack obama attended his church for 20 years, but barack obama now states that he had no idea what the rev White was preaching.
Huckabee gave her that label I believe.
It’s an ‘advisory council’. I know there’s one made up of Catholics, and probably ones for Mormons, Muslims and Jews. Dig deep and Obama had the exact counterparts. Mountain out of not-even-molehill.
LOL! Way to pick your advisors...
