People would argue that she has everything needed, at least, to make the run as a “Dream” Democrat candidate:
- Name recognition
- Rich
- Successful Businesswoman in a tough industry
- Something of a Philanthropist
- Well spoken and appears to be at least literate. (She is a University of Tenn graduate)
Oh and Black, Female and possibly Gay (certainly Gay friendly) - a seeming Trifecta for modern Democrat Party identity politics.
Given the massive hit to her personal wealth taken when she openly supported Obama, I have to wonder if she would ever be a player - but stranger things have happened in US politics. She has faced massive backlash for her support of Obama and again when she dared to say something positive about Trump. Seems *Talk Show Hosts* aren’t allowed a public political opinion....at last by their ‘fans’.
Not having held a prior elective office no longer seems to be an issue as well....

Given that the WaPo the NY Times and most of the other Left-leaning mass media is pushing this -** No. ** I do not expect this to go away.
The Dems will put up a candidate at some point - if it is not Oprah, then and only then will it go away, right down the old memory hole of the Media.
In the meantime, “Oprah for Prez” generates a buzz for a party that is on the ropes.
Wouldn't an Oprah/M.Obummer be a nightmare ticket?? Nobody in flyover country would vote for them but I can imagine the DemoRats actually considering such a thing.
