HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A Virginia woman was arrested and charged following her “reaction” to a parking ticket, Henrico Police told WTVR.

An officer wrote the parking ticket on Thursday after spotting a vehicle illegally parked on Old Main Street in Rocketts Landing, a Henrico Police spokesperson said.

That’s when Danielle Alesia Easley approached the vehicle, according to police.

“Easley arrived and indicated she was associated with the vehicle. Easley removed the parking citation, balled it up and threw it on the ground,” the Henrico Police spokesperson said. “Easley continued to be disorderly and struck the officer with the vehicle’s door. Easley then resisted the officer’s attempt to take her into custody.”

The 29-year-old woman was charged with assault of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and littering, according to police.

They’re usually insane libs. I know, insane and libs is redundant.
IMHO, they’re all still pissed off that their royal highness Queen Hitlery lost the POTUS election.

When I was a kid in the 50s and early 60s, the town of DeFuniak Springs would not give you a ticket if someone was in the car. You could also leave a nickel in the slot and he would turn it for you.

The fine was only 25 cents and it was on the honor system.

charged with assault of a law enforcement officer,
= = =

In Calif

Penal Code 69 is similar to Penal Code 148(a)(1), misdemeanor resisting arrest, but it is more serious. It can be charged as felony, whereas resisting arrest is just a misdemeanor. Penal Code 69 criminalizes two separate types of conduct:

(1) Attempting, by means of any threat or violence, to deter or prevent an executive officer from performing any duty imposed upon such officer by law; and

(2) Actually resisting, by force or violence, such officer in the performance of his/her duty. People v. Hines (1997) 64 Cal. Rptr.2d 594

This law was implemented after the Civil War to counter resistance to “Northern” officers by “Southerners”

It is used today to make a misdemeanor into a felony.
