Drudge Report has been consistently conservative as long as I remember. Yet, of late, I feel like he's kind of ant-Trump, even anti conservative. If so, why?

This was discussed here a while back and I have the same take as EEGator, Drudge hasn’t changed his politics, he’s trying to broaden his base. I see both pro and anti-Trump posts there.
I think he’s just a click-whore (NTTAWWT) and he’s got more competition than ever.
Could the Bannon kerfuffle be a big distraction from other things happening? As in orchestrated?
Not to the left, but to a strange hybrid ideology that sometimes looks “conservative”, but is better identified as “libertarian”, which at times can look an awful lot like some of the positions adopted by the Left. The hard Left, though, only adopts those positions because they can rag the Conservatives with them, like “medical” or “recreational” marijuana, or about things like a degree of hypersensitivity about “privacy”, don’t go snooping around in personal sex lives.
Fake Bannon account. That’s what the tweets are saying.
Methinks Bannon needs more than one cute tweet to get out of this one.
He may need a full blown presser with coronets, as the White House blames Bannon for lining up Wolf with every interview occurring among WH staffers, department heads, pals and passersby, as far as they can tell, according to Sarah Sanders. Interviewees say that it was at Bannon’s direction they participated with this Wolf guy.

Drudge is gay. Trump is not a follower of the LGwhatever movement. He and his advisors want a heterosexual military. That’s enough to set Drudge against him.

Well I have never been a close follower of Drudge, but my impression has always been that he is more about sensation and hits than about conservatism.

It’s just a rollout blitz for a book. Bannon is cashing in. It’s a D. C. tradition for those on the edges that don’t get to wet their beaks in the big money.
