They did. But the team lined up for a two point run and the QB took a knee. Class all the way. Fly, Eagles, Fly!
No just Daily Caller. There are many reports of this.
I suppose they did that because they didn’t need it to win the game and rub salt on the wound of the other team. Well, I like that too. But too much of that can actually skew your offensive scoring stats downward, if you’re using the stats for anything.
Notes
The Buff v. Balt tiebreak goes down to Sov. Which Buff wins handily
If any of these 4 teams make it past wildcard round, they gonna get trounced?
Sunday, Dec 31, 2017 (All times Eastern)
Chicago at Minnesota 1:00 pm FOX U.S. Bank Stadium After that whoopin' the Vikings laid on the Packers last week, I don't see them letting up against the Bears. Vikings.
Cleveland at Pittsburgh 1:00 pm CBS Heinz Field The Browns are going for the perfect record. The Steelers are rolling to the playoffs, probably as the Number 2 seed in the AFC. Steelers.
Dallas at Philadelphia 1:00 pm FOX Lincoln Financial Field Ah, no playoffs for the Cowboys. Somehow the Iggles won on Monday ... with no second half offense. They'll need to do better against the 'Boys.. . With nothing at stake for them I like Dallas here. Cowboys.
Green Bay at Detroit 1:00 pm FOX Ford Field Packers shut out last week. While Detroit has its weaknesses, offense isn't really one of them (despite an inexplicable loss to Cincy...). Lions.
Houston at Indianapolis 1:00 pm CBS Lucas Oil Stadium Two teams that are already looking forward to next season, both hoping their star QBs will be back. Meantime they have to play this Sunday. Gotta pick one of them... Colts.
N.Y. Jets at New England 1:00 pm CBS Gillette Stadium Patriots want to hold on to the top seed in the AFC and the Jets are not going to stop that. Patriots.
Washington at N.Y. Giants 1:00 pm FOX MetLife Stadium Another two teams winding up disappointing seasons... although disappointing is an understatement for the G-Men. Cousins and the 'Skins have more to play for.... Redskins.
Arizona at Seattle 4:25 pm FOX CenturyLink Field Seattle needs to win, and they showed some mettle last week against the Cowboys. The Cardinals ... well, rumor is Bruce Arians may be moving on. To New York? We'll see. Seahawks.
Buffalo at Miami 4:25 pm CBS Hard Rock Stadium Will the Bills keep their non-playoff streak alive? Even if they win they are not assured a spot. They will win though... Bills.
Carolina at Atlanta 4:25 pm FOX Mercedes-Benz Stadium Now this match-up.... Falcons have been so up and down.... Panthers have been more consistent down the stretch. Panthers.
Cincinnati at Baltimore 4:25 pm CBS M&T Bank Stadium A Ravens win assures them of a playoff spot. While they can still get in with a loss, a win makes it certain. And I don't see them blowing this game against the Bengals. Ravens.
Jacksonville at Tennessee 4:25 pm CBS Nissan Stadium Was high on Jacksonville till that game against the Niners last week. But the Titans.... well, they have shown nothing the last several weeks and seem to be in a freefall. Jax rebounds. Jaguars.
Kansas City at Denver 4:25 pm CBS Sports Authority Field at Mile High KC has put that 1 - 6 streak behind them and is playing better. Which is bad news for Brock Osweiler and the Broncos. Chiefs.
New Orleans at Tampa Bay 4:25 pm FOX Raymond James Stadium With Carson Wentz out and the Eagles diminished, I like the Saints to make the Super Bowl from the NFC. Having said that, how can I not pick them over the Buccos? Saints.
Oakland at L.A. Chargers 4:25 pm CBS StubHub Center The Chargers can conceivably get in with a win and everyone else above them losing... So they'll get the win. As to whatever else happens....Chargers.
San Francisco at L.A. Rams 4:25 pm FOX Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum The Garropolo era rolls on... But the Rams just have too much... of everything...Rams.
And in the big bowl games Monday....
Baker Mayfield and the Sooners roll over the Dawgs from Georgia.
And Dabo's boys from Clemson send the Tide packing.
;D
Thursday Bowl picks
Navy over Virginia in the Military Bowl
Va Tech’s D over OK States O in the Mr. Clean Bowl
TCU over Stanford in the Jello Pudding Pop Bowl
Mike Leach’s WA State Cougars over the Michigan State
Spartans in the Beanie Baby Bowl presented by Pokeman
I made up 3 of those names, not that anyone could tell
Kind of a tricky week, as we all know. Some teams don't have to win to make the playoffs. Other teams are like short people: "Got no reason to live." But they still might put up a fight.
Minnesota
Pittsburgh
Philadelphia
Detroit
Indianapolis
New England (Five Star pick of the week. Call now and get two bookie busting picks for the price of one!)
Washington
Seattle (I hate picking Seattle)
Miami
Carolina
Baltimore
Jacksonville
Kansas City
New Orleans
Chargers
Rams
TCU wins the Jello Pudding Pop Bowl!
And Navy with the beatdown of the Cavaliers. The Mipshipman were 0-1 on pass attempts and did all their damage on the ground. Virginia coach Bronco Mendenhall had been 9-1 vs triple option offenses coming into this game.
The Vikes kill my Bears
Will Omar Epps rest starters? He's not saying. Even if he does, while I'm hope I'm wrong I don't think the Browns will win, much better D than the '08 Lions but looks like they'll match em.
Philly cinched the 1 seed, nothing to play for so I like the Boys in this one
With the pressure to win off, the Lions should be able to do enough to top the Pack in this meaningless game
Ick, Indy hasn't won since they last played the Texans. Colts have been a more competitive than them lately and their at home so Colts.
I don't think I picked against the Pats all season, won't start now
I wouldn't mind seeing the Pymgies finish with a win but I don't think they can do it, Deadskins
No way Seattle loses to my Olde Chi Cardinals
The Bills have 8-8 written all over them, Cutler will make it happen
Tough call, Panthers could get a bye if the Saints lose but I think Atlanta will punch their ticket
Ravens will not follow in the Lions footsteps in getting killed by the Bungles
Embarrassed last week, Jax is not resting starters, that's bad news for the Titans and good for the Chargers and Bills
KC is locked in the 4 seed and starting Patrick mahomes at QB, I'll take lowly Denver
Saints won't lose
Chargers have enough juice to zap Oaktown and keep their hopes alive
Rams will rest some starters, if not I'd pick them for sure but call me crazy I say the Niners win another one.
Bowl Picks for Friday
Wake Forest Demon Deacons over Bender's Aggies in the Minute Maid Orangeade Bowl (delicious, I can't find anywhere anymore)
NC Wolfpack over the AZ State Sun Devils in the Big League Chew Bubblegum Bowl

Utah State Aggies (6-6) over the NM State Aggies (6-6) in the Give me a Break Bowl presented by Kit Kat
And Finally Ohio State over USC in the Cotton Bowl aka this years Real Rose Bowl #Realrosebowl
I would probably change a couple of my picks. But, they are cast in stone. Help me BBG, you’re my only hope.
Jimmy G for the Niners looks like the real deal.
She convinced me to let you change picks, if you want.
It’s no trouble. ;)
Thanks - but I’ll take my lumps. Happy New Year.
Man, Sam Darnold is awful tonight.
Pro Scouts not impressed.
Twitter is having a field day.
He’s come back to throw for 260. But OSU is still up by 17.
4 of 5 Friday, not bad.
