Just four days after police in Wasilla arrested Sarah Palin's oldest son Track on domestic violence charges, the former governor of Alaska got a chance to share some good news on Wednesday as she announced her daughter Willow was engaged to be married.
'Good things happen!!! My happiest baby girl Willow and Ricky, last night at Rockefeller Center!!! So, so happy,' wrote Sarah.
Willow will be tying the knot with her longtime boyfriend Ricky Bailey, who she has been with for the past four years.

Thanks folks. I haven’t been Sarah’s biggest fan here by a long shot, but I think this was a reasoned thing to say.
I don’t care about any celebrities kids, other than Trump’s kids. Then I only want to know if they are involving themselves in politics, and whether the Democrats, the press or someone in the public is going after them.
Sarah could do with this good news after this last week with her son...yet again. He apparently continues to create problem s with the family no matter how they try to help the guy. Letting him sit in jail this time was a good decision I think. He might get the help he needs so badly.
I know of a family who pulled this same stunt....parents locked her out etc. after several warnings. Called police when she broke in and they arrested her. Parents did not bail her out....she got help and said today, married with kids, was the best decision her parents made saying no.
I hope this young couple will find happiness within the turmoil that seems to follow this family!
I hear ya...
Thanks for the response...
I want to know how much Rosenweasel is paying Mueller for his perfidy.
That would be more entertaining than Palin threads where some people go to see if there is yet another good pic of S! .
I’m not trying to trash Palin or Willow here.
I admit to watching the Kardashians for a millisecond years ago (okay a few months) and I got my fill of that “stuff” to last a lifetime.
Just not into the day to day of anyone but my own family, unless the nation is affected by something, like the Trump’s family.
I thought you were blaming the news source for the information when Sarah went public.
“I hope this young couple will find happiness within the turmoil that seems to follow this family!”
There is no turmoil that follows the Palin family, but just the media rumor and innuendos and the media following the family around and making minor family misunderstandings into national news.
Well, the turmoil IS the media, but it does hound them nearly to death!
I would imagine that they wish they had remained in obscurity...sometimes.....!
That’s twice now that you have posted calling the fact that Track Palin was arrested for assaulting his father a “rumor.” Sarah Palin craves attention, and she gets it. Deal with it.
Congrats on the family!
I think the news sources put this stuff out there. It is human interest.
It was my take the Palins put it out there, just the nature of parts of it.
It’s not that big a deal to me, just personal preference.
Perhaps Track was arrested, but the media blew the entire incident out of proportion, just as they have other Palin family misunderstandings. Think about it, the media never reports about the times that Track did not visit his parents’s home and and ask the borrow the truck.
She does: Sarah Palin shared the news, along with two images from the moment Ricky got down on one knee and pooped the question at Rockefeller Center in NYC
Well, that's a unique marriage proposal! LOL
Met my wife when she was 25 and I was 30. Dated 5 years and have been married for 33.5 years. Of course, if I bring home another guitar, I’m toast.
I can’t believe they’d announce an engagement while Track is sitting in jail. I’d be too upset to deal with an engagement. She should be focused on getting help for her son.
Geez, what’s the rush? She’s 23—live a little. Live on your own, make some money, make decisions for yourself. See what’s outside of Alaska. Consider college while you’re young and not tied down with kids. Hairdressing is hard on the hands for some—not a secure profession. I see no downside in waiting. That goes for the guy too.
Ha! Just because I don’t believe in marriage at 23 doesn’t make me a liberal nut.
Notice some FR’ers saying 23 is too young but these same guys said 16 wasn’t too young for Roy Moore.
“...was the best decision her parents made saying no.”
Oh, you have to! My Step-Son was heavy into drugs in High School. I had his Dad remove him from the house one night when I got up with a sick dog and the POS was sitting in MY Living Room, watching TV and smoking pot!
Then, after things got WORSE, he ended up in rehab. I had divorced his LOSER Dad by then. Agreement between me and Step-Son was that when he FINISHED Rehab, stayed AWAY from his LOSER Dad, and had a JOB he could come live with me for free, so he could finish college.
Well, his Dad checked him out of Rehab and they went out drinking! Luckily a family friend saw them, called me, I called Rehab and that was the end of that. Step-Son ended back with his bio-Mom. I REFUSED to take him back. He broke our deal. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done - but the best! (He was my Step-Son from Age 3; I don’t know where I went wrong, but Genetics was working against me the whole time.)
Today? He’s been clean and sober for 8 years, and manages a half-way house for others trying to kick drugs and alcohol.
So, some stories have happy endings...after you take a HUGE, unnecessary DETOUR in your life, so I wish the best for Track. Sarah called this one correctly. Enough is enough, and when you annoy Mama Bear long enough, she swats you a good one! ;)
My family has had similar stories Diana.
Not to mention here recently we had experienced a less than civil discussion regarding people close to me who know better.
It hurts so much thinking about it and I hate hearing others are experiencing the same things.
We are all human, I wish You, The Palins and I didn't share this similarity but apparently we do.
The realness can be quite sobering to see what everone goes through.
