Its still unclear what led to the deadly mauling, but a man who used to work with the Stephens said the pet owner loved the canines and was very experienced working with animals, according to WTVR. Other people also said the dogs were social, passive and had a significant bond with Stephens...Agnew confirmed the medical examiner said Stephens was on her menstrual period, but added: But I dont think theres any way we can definitively say what caused the attack.

They saw THAT and still took an hour to round up the dogs? Why were they not shot immediately? There isn’t the slightest chance they wouldn’t be put down anyway.
“Other people also said the dogs were social, passive and had a significant bond with Stephens.”
I would definitely call gnawing on your rib cage a significant bond. Those pit bull are just so filled with love that they express it in odd ways.
Wonder how many people were terrified when they encountered her on walks with two dangerous animals she couldn’t control. This is a fine reason to carry CCW on walks.
Its still unclear what led to the deadly mauling....

It’s unclear to everyone who has an IQ under 40.
“It’s unclear”. Like when a muzzie shouts “Ollie Ackbar!” and then kills 10 people - Officials search for a motive.
Well, they never did this before. I mean isn’t that what they always say?
They are pit bulls. They attack. As this situation shows, there is no pit bull that can be raised not to be a ticking attack bomb. And once they attack, you can't get them off the victim.
SOMETHING is not adding up with this story. In the middle of a walk in the woods when NO ONE can see THAT’S when the dogs go nuts and kill and eat her. How CONVENIENT.
Not at the beginning of the walk. Not at the end of the walk. NO walk before. Just this ONE time when no one can see. Middle of the woods.
Not buying it.
So true.
I’m waiting for the pop craze of keeping pet rattlesnakes, just so i can hear the lectures about how misunderstood they are.
Reminds me of Timothy Snackwell...
Grizzly Man,
with His fluffy Lil’friends.
The “she had her period” argument was used by Robert Noel and Marjorie Knoller after their Presa Canario dogs killed Diane Whipple outside her apartment in San Francisco, back in January of 2001.
Dogs of piece.....................
The victim’s photo is of a young lady with crazy eyes.
I just can't understand how many more time a mauling takes place for people to realize these dogs have no place as pets or in a residential neighborhood.
Lets just accept that argument at face value. They really want a pet that’s programmed to kill half the population 25% of the time?
From the article: But in the time leading up to the attack, the dogs were a little bit neglected, Sgt. Mike Blackwood said.
American terriers (Pit bulls) are highly intelligent animals, prone to jealousy and aloofness, to the point of becoming enraged and combative. It appears these dogs felt neglected and took it out on the owner. Ive dealt with these dogs throughout my life and have seen it first hand, although not to this extent.
We went to visit some friends who had two large dogs one of them was part pitbull. They were totally out of control. The woman had them on leashes but couldnt keep him from jumping on us. She was laughing the whole time. She kept saying no no calling the animals names but the animals totally ignored her. Then she wanted us to go meet her horses.
If they are so intelligent, then they have no excuse.
