“Other people also said the dogs were social, passive and had a “significant bond” with Stephens.”

I would definitely call gnawing on your rib cage a significant bond. Those pit bull are just so filled with love that they express it in odd ways.

Wonder how many people were terrified when they encountered her on walks with two dangerous animals she couldn’t control. This is a fine reason to carry CCW on walks.

Well, they never did this before. I mean isn’t that what they always say?

We went to visit some friends who had two large dogs one of them was part pitbull. They were totally out of control. The woman had them on leashes but couldn’t keep him from jumping on us. She was laughing the whole time. She kept saying no no calling the animals names but the animals totally ignored her. Then she wanted us to go meet her horses.

I had to shoot one that attacked my corgi about 5 years ago. It was running loose, and silently approached us from the side and clamped down and had my dog by the back of the neck and was vigorously shaking him. I shot the pitbull twice with my .38 and it still survived. At least it dropped my dog (who survived with minor punctures to his skin. The fact that he had on two collars probably prevented the pitbull from killing him).

Lately I've been seeing a hispanic guy from the neighboring subdivision walking a rambunctious pitbull. I won't walk my dog if I see them out there. I have no use for the pitbull breed.

wifey went for a walk with our little dog on a visit to California back country. She came back an hour later white as a ghost and shaking, 3 “big mean dogs” had ran after them barking and she screamed and screamed for help, they stopped (heard a whistle I think) and ran back the other way. She said she knew they were going to die and we would never have found them.

Had a pit bull roaming my neighborhood, the dog went after someone walking and that person shot the dog.

The dogs owner called the police on the person who shot their dog and the cops told them to basically pound sand because there is a leash law and the dog was aggressive.

Exactly, after a couple of scary close encounters like you mentioned above, I will not walk in a great park that is really close to our downtown and the critters, two legged and four legged that live there.

Our sheriff will approve a CCW for me. Our personal lawyer said if I used a CCW weapon to defend my self outside my home , I could be another Zimmerman.
