My husband grew up with a family tradition of watching that movie every Thanksgiving - and we still do. It marks the beginning of the Christmas season for us.
My kids are grown now but fond memories of hot chocolate, popcorn and "White Christmas."
Sounds like a wonderful tradition. Very lucky for him and to have found you to help carry it on with him too!
Possibly my favorite Christmas movie ever and my family had the same tradition. This is the movie that puts me in a real Christmas mood, mostly because of all the great memories it evokes from my childhood.
We start watching Christmas movies the night of Thanksgiving and continue every night until January the 2nd.
I have at least 30 Hallmark Christmas movies and the rest are all classics from the 40’s through the 70’s.
Also the variety Christmas shows that they showed in the 60’s like Dean Martin’s Christmas Special, the Andy Williams Christmas Shows, Danny Kaye, Doris Day and my favorite of all the Perry Como Christmas Special.
White Christmas is always watched on Christmas Eve and It’s A Wonderful Life on Christmas Day.
Merry Christmas!
