Dr. Dean Lorich, a trauma surgeon, was found dead with a knife in his torso in his E. 96th St. apartment on Dec. 11, 2017.
An acclaimed trauma surgeon was found dead, with a knife in his chest, by his 11-year-old daughter Sunday in his Park Ave. apartment, police said.
Investigators were treating the death of Dr. Dean Lorich as an apparent suicide, sources said.
He was under some personal stress, a police source said.
The surgeon was home with his daughter, police said, adding there were no signs of forced entry at the tony Upper East Side apartment at Park Ave. and E. 96th St.
The girl alerted the buildings doorman, who called 911. Police said the call was regarding an assault.
Cops found the 54-year-old doctors body in the bathroom around 1 p.m. The knife was near his heart, a source said.

Lorich volunteered in Haiti for 2010 earthquake victims.
Its devastating news. Dean was a friend and a tremendous doctor, said Dr. Soumi Eachempati, who traveled with Lorich to the devastated country. The medical community will have an extremely large void without him.

For a doctor best bet is a shot of potassium.
Maybe the coroner was asked how his ongoing depression was?
Something is not right about this story.
5.56mm
Maybe the fbi was there with him???
If I had to live in a “tony Upper East Side apartment at Park Ave. and E. 96th St.” In New York I’d swallow a gun barrel myself.
In Hillary's back pocket.
Very sad, especially for his daughter.
Moat unusual way to commit suicide I think especially after this tragedy was reported as an assault? After the wife and any other personal friend is dismissed I would think they would examine cameras in the building and on the street/neighborhood for suspicious activity.
Suspiciously quick to call it a suicide and close the case I think?
“Suicide by stabbing yourself in chest. Riiiiiiiight.”
Years ago I had a neighbor who redecorated his living room with a 12 gauge pump shotgun. Shot himself in the stomach, racked it and did it again.
The articles say his death happened on Monday. I find it interesting and quite suspicious that snopes has already issued a lengthy piece where they bend over backwards trying to discredit the idea of a Clintonian connection to this
.. https://www.snopes.com/surgeon-clinton-foundation-corruption-haiti/ .
“There is no physician or surgeon who would commit
suicide with a knife to the chest.”
I don’t know. As a doc he knew exactly where to insert the blade and what large coronary artery to cut for almost instant unconsciousness and ensuing demise.
“Investigators were treating the death of Dr. Dean Lorich as an apparent suicide, sources said.”
Although he could have been hosting some homeless Somalis.
He was under some personal stress,
Who isn’t?
“The smell of death surrounds the Clintons.”
Maybe they gave him the Field Marshall Rommel option.
“I wonder what the average life expectancy of Clinton associates is now? It’s got to be lower than the average citizen. “
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving group.
Another victim of the Fort Marcy Park Flu?
“Someone is speculating that Hillary is still wearing the medical boot to cover up an ankle bracelet and they dont mean one made out of gold.”
Ooh, an anklet...how sexy of her.
Ok, so he was found dead on the 11th, and it’s now the 15th.
Not sure when the first report of his death made the news, but not even a week’s gone by since the first conspiracy theories must have emerged.
I did find an article on CNN where he lays out the problems the doctors faced responding immediately to the quake, but it’s from January 25th 2010- there’s no criticism of the Clinton Foundation in it, not sure when the Clinton Foundation arrived there but it was apparently just before he did [he had assembled his team in under 24 hrs, so they were not slow either]; that’s not much time between the quake and his arrival for them to have done much in any case, other than to make a quick assessment of the damage.
If anything, the only mention he makes of the Clinton Foundation in the article is that the foundation and other responders’ first reports about the obstacles they would be facing didn’t fully prepare them for what they saw... which is not surprising.
His complaints were that the US needs a plan for responding to these 3rd world post quake conditions where literally nothing is there to work with, not even local security...no prepositioned supplies, nothing.
The problems they encountered were typical third world problems - no infrastructure even before the quake much less after, equipment unworkable even before the disaster, poverty of basic supplies from the outset, and theft by local scumbags. Their truck full of equipment was hijacked on its way from the airport, not by the Clinton Foundation but by locals. None of this could be blamed on the Clinton Foundation, and he didn’t blame them, at least not in that article.
So is there a legit source where he did? I don’t know.
So here, we have this response on December 14th to the doubts raised about how he died from truthorfiction.com:
Now granted, this doesn’t mean the foundation didn’t have its problems in transparency, obviously they did, but the claim that this doctor blamed the foundation doesn’t appear to be accurate and doesn’t make sense in the context of his description of the problems they faced.
I’ve never known a US leader that had so much death surrounding them. To me this is just another reason to change our form of government. This one has failed miserably
“Yes, the suicide claim is farcical. No skilled surgeon would do away with himself in this way.”
Sever the ascending aorta and it’s lights out right now.
