A caribou or a moose is never allowed to get this skinny: Long before it gets close to starvation, a predator has usually turned them into a meal. But if a polar bear doesn’t drown or get shot, it’s most likely going to end up looking like the bear in the photo.

Good article. Last paragraph: “...when scientists conclude that Earth is warming or polar bears are in danger, they don’t use anecdotal information. Rather, they base their forecasts on reams of data collected over years.”
This is naive. So many GW “scientists” have been caught cooking or outright falsifying data over the past 20 years, that the “reams of data collected over years” are simply not to be trusted.

Article that “dirtboy” linked in #15 above makes the excellent point that polar bears are at the apex of the food chain. There simply is no other predator to take them down when they get old and infirm, so almost ALL of them wind up starving to death.
