A man walking his dog on a British Columbia beach this week made a grisly discovery: A foot in a shoe, along with part of a lower leg. Adding to the mystery is that it is the 13th foot to wash up on the Canadian province's coastline over the past decade.
"Our early analysis suggests these are human remains and we will do further investigation and testing ... in the coming weeks," said Andy Watson, a spokesman for the BC Coroners Service, about the Thursday discovery. The remains included a tibia and fibula.
The Coroners Service said all previous 12 feet were human. The service identified eight of them and determined they belonged to six individuals.
No foul play was involved in those cases, according to the Coroners Service, though it did not say how it arrived at that conclusion.

“Ever since they went to the metric system people no longer have use for feet.”
I don’t care who you are, that’s funny I tell ya.
Technically, it’s a severed foot (not dismembered).
Metric terrorist
"At BC Pig Farm, we put the 'Canadian' in Canadian Bacon!"
Yup, covered on a documentary. People lost overboard, (+ other causes)sink, rot, crab food, foot disconnects, foam in shoe buoyant, floats, beaches.
“Qu’est-ce que c’est?”
What is it that it is?
Could be a lazy mortician who is being paid to dispose of indigent people and instead take a them out and drops them out to sea, in pieces.
Obviously, someone doesn’t have a pig farm.
“the good citizens of British Columbia”
I thought they were liberals.
Ok. Printed. Will show up in my garden or woods this spring:)
Killer Whales
They don’t call them Snuggle Whales.
Killer Whales.
We had a case near here back about 20 years ago of a crematorium that didn’t cremate bodies, they just stacked them up like cord-wood and sent a box of ‘ashes’ to the families.
People got suspicious when they discovered unburned wood in the boxes...............
So...were were two of the six individuals tripods or was one a quadraped? /s
Ps. Whalegator
They’re foot loose and fancy free in BC?
Fisherman - having had the pleasure of falling overboard, I can attest that the first thing one does is get rid of the footwear usually boots or lose fitting slippers - you cannot swim in shoes, boots, or slippers.
That was quite good.
That is so bad! You should be socked for making that joke.
The global oligarchy are rife with pedophiles. When they are finished with a victim they just drop them off ... at 1000 feet over the ocean and let sea creatures do the rest. Apparently those creatures don’t like sneakers; hard to digest.
